Hey Bummy, I talked to you this particular morning about how to fish the calm water. Thanks for the tips. Not only is the content great but great guy in person! Thanks Matt!
I grew up on the gulf coast but have lived in the desert southwest for 18 years now. When I really miss fishing, your channel helps. Thanks for what you do and the approach you take.
As a FL boy, transplanted to AL. Your videos were instrumental in my success up here...I appreciate it good sir. I fished that spot yesterday afternoon. Love it.
This was the very best "tackle used" intro I have ever seen you do! KUDOS! Repeat, repeat and repeat this exact style! Respectfully... you nailed it richeously. It was perfect. Couldn't be happier for you! Had to share this IMHO opinion. Hope you are elated and not offended. Only a huge compliment intended. I know how serious and hard you must work. It is definitely serving you well. Again, KUDOS! 👏👏👏👍👍
New Subscriber. You're very fortunate to live where you live. I live up in the Northwest in Washington State. We can't even eat flounder here because they all have worms. Love the channel a lot.
Loved this video because I am not a local. I live outside of Atlanta and I am only able to get down to the beach maybe 3-4 times a year if I am lucky. The information on your setup and conditions help a lot because it helps me take a lot of the guess work out and just enjoy fishing while I am on vacation. Thanks again!
Great video as always. Just a quick tip. carry a small tube of super glue with your tackle. Put just a drop of it on your jig head and your bait. It will stop it from sliding down your hook. Tight line to ya.
Dad has an old Zebco 808 on a medium rod he got in a dumpster. Caught specs, flounder, reds, grouper, drum, hooked a FN porpoise with it once, every damned freshwater fish in the south...small gar once. Fished lakes, rivers, coast, piers, off boats, by oil rigs... Never once said go get my special flounder rod.
The wife and I came by the store Saturday. I guess you were at home or fishing. We spoke with the young girl and guy that was there and he answered a couple of questions for me. Good help there! Sorry we missed you. May be when I get ready to go to the pier, I'll stop by. GOOD FISHING!!
My favorite fish to catch flounder I recently went fishing on beach at Indian river inlet delaware I cast a double hook rig with fish bites using 8 foot pole with 2ounce sinker Cast on angle maybe 20 yards out from beach I caught 12 inch flounder I was happy Havnt caught a flounder on beach in like 10 years Caught one more that day with single hook flounder rig with light green buck hair with green beads silver spinner cast it out on angke again closecto shore got 10 inch flounder pretty cool using cut spot
Hi Matt, I fish on the Texas Gulf coast. I've always wondered if catching flounder on the beach like you do is possible here. I've never seen or heard of anyone doing it but figure it should be possible. I've also seen videos of beach flounder in the NE - what are distinguishing structure or features that need to exist for flounder to be in the surf, close to the beach? Deep gut, specific types of sand, water clarity? Appreciate your insights!
The young boy in the store told us about an app that could tell us the keeper size in all states. Could you tell me again what app it was. My name is Duke and I'm the one with the cowboy hat on. This may help him remember me. Thank you,
Could you please tell me what kind of gear you were using, including rod, reel, line, and leader? I'm never quite sure what to use on the beach if I am just walking up and down the beach much like you were in this video. I'm not crazy about just having permanent beach rods and waiting for a bite. I'd get too "antsy," I need to move around. I really appreciated the fact that you dropped this video when you did, not too many other videos were being put out by too many people recently. God bless to you!
@@bobthompson9890 Very sorry KAREN!! You know maybe I was multitasking other things and listening to it in the background at the time, so I thought I'd check in the description, but it wasn't there. So, since I asked MATTHEW, NOT BOBO, maybe he'd like to explain it to me himself. 🤷
You set a good example on camera in many areas. No foul language, great demeanor, and appreciative of what you are blessed with. Thanks.

What's the latest on your boat?
Amazing🔥🔥🔥
Is the beach that calm consistently?
Hey Matt, could you explain to us how you feel the fish and set the hook on the flounder, please? Thanks.
What beaches are these? Texas coast?
Always love getting a flounder.... caught most of mine off the jetties tho.

Question where you fishing at ,what state thanks Bill
what state
Moonwalkers are deadly on trout.
Whiting on a artificial? I never caught one on lures, but I have caught my biggest ones on nightcrawlers. Excellent video!
What happened with your boat, and what storage facility was it
Just ordered some FREDs. Ha!!
I mark my rods with the appropriate legal length of whatever I'm fishing for.
What beach is this ?
I almost forgot your boat motor was taken
What beach is his
OBX NC FOREVER 🛐🦈🐟🐋🐳🐡
Going for flounder use thick sliced smoked bacon instead k
Someone needs to make rods with marks for measuring the fish.
I think I have seen decals you can apply to rods that have measurements for that purpose
Maybe first. I need to try this so bad!
Maybe?🤔
@@williambenner701 heck, you never know. I don't type as fast as some of these kids
You should be gigging.
About 10 years ago I got a gulf flounder that was 24" I had to look up the record I think it was 11 lbs mine was 6.5
Would of been the record my dude . . More than likely a Southern flounder
@@adamcisarik5975 I know the difference it was a gulf

Every pole I have are marked for target species, except salmon . And don't film
Flounder fishing I never use anything over 12lb for leader
