    Nice to see a plain Fluidd interface on this one, that means you can edit the macros and other configs to help fix filament swap.

      Thx, yes, I am new to Klipper (but not new to programming). But anyway, I still think this should be prepared by the manufacturer. Most of the users just wants to buy the 3D printer and use it.

    Well I was wanting to sample one of the pro versions to use with small components and precision jobs in my lab, now I'm glad I waited. Iteration and improvements! Sometimes procrastination pays off.

      Did you buy it? I'm thinking about buying this one or a SUNLU T3 but I can't decide, I've heard this Kingroon model is kind of know for having hardware problems, what has been your experience?

      @@rodolfob7113 it works perfectly. For printing PETG I had to use z-offset 0.3mm and it's perfect.
      Its fine with 120mm/s printing speed for PETG(KP5L had the same results with 90mm) and electronics is real good

    I was waiting for reviews to come out on this printer. I am not sure what is going on with kingroon lately. They had done a good job on the kp3s line but dropped the ball on the KLP1 and a few others. And it seems like the same for this one. It seems they are overwhelmed and that they are rushing products before the bugs are worked out. And also having issues with quality control, shipping and other things. I think they should be rethinking this approach before they ruin their credibility any further. They will end up loosing their loyal fans base and brand recognition that the KP3S line had built for them. Just my opinion. Thanks for the review. Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

      I agree, Marlin based KP3S printers are good. This is something new to them too, so I am sure it will be improved by time.

    Just assembled mine and printed 2 items, works flawlessly. I think the bugs are worked out now. Fans are a bit noisy but which printer in this price range isn't. I may do some fan swaps.

    If it's not the fastest but quiet then i would consider buying it.

    It's Klipper. If you want different behavior for ex. pause / resume, you just implement the appropriate macro. It is strange though that they don't deliver it with that already in place.

    • @MyTechFun

      As I mentioned, I am new to Klipper, but I think these macros should be prepared already..

      @@MyTechFun I totally agree. It should however be something Kingroon can easily fix.

    I have no idea why they chose to include silk sample filament for a "fast" printer. Silk does not print well fast.

    So if it does XY input shaping.. then it has to have 2 different accelerometers to do that properly right? Is there one actually on the bed somewhere, or are they only using the X axis to measure Y axis resonance?

    • @MyTechFun
      @MyTechFun  Рік тому +1

      That was my second question to them. My first was why we don't have the accelerometer in the kit, they told me it is in toolhead (extruder). But what about Y? (still waiting for the second answer, but auto reply, they are on vacation..)

    • @Roobotics
      @Roobotics Рік тому

      @@MyTechFun it sounds like you have a good grasp of why this might be an incorrect setup as well then. It could still find resonance, maybe that is good enough and direct measure of the actual moving axis isn't as important when it's the Y axis in this setup, interesting. Will have to see what they say then.

    Hello, great and detailed video as usual. I was about to buy a new KP3S 3.0, but there is a used KP3S Pro S1, but for 60 US dollars more. Is the used one, worth de extra $60 or should I just buy a new KP3S 3.0 ? Thank you for your help...

    This video really highlighted the problems with this printer when I first watched it a few months ago.
    The Bambu A1 essentially makes this dead on arrival. The Bambu products are just light-years better than other manufacturers.. My Ender 3 Pro and Neptune 3 Plus are collecting dust ever since I got the P1S. If I had the room I would get an A1.

    • @mikebrown354
      @mikebrown354 Рік тому

      but you comparing different price range.. Bambu A1 is abt 489 ERU while this is less then half the prince at 188 EUR

      A1 Mini can’t print ABS, ASA, etc. This printer is for people who actually print useful practical stuffs.

    At $299, pretty sure Elegoo Neptune 4 pro look far more interesting. This 3d printer setup(niche) should be priced not more than $200 or close to it. This printer look like unfinished product compared to the competitor or even the previous version. Kingroon should provide more value(more usefull feature) to compete on those price bracket. Kingroon could be the best choice for small 3d printer farm but not anymore. Really hope Kingroon will do better next time.

      I have the impression that the manufacturers act as if Klipper were an expensive extra that had to be reflected in the price...

      To be fair even the Neptune 4 and the Sovol SV07 looks like they need more refinement before going to sale.

      As I can see so far, this speed always comes with noise (Bambulab, SV07, Ender-7, ..) The only exception is the delta printer by FLSUN.

    I have the original KP3S - it's only good as a rough draft printer. Both
    my old school Ender 2 and Ender 2 Pro print better. I would trade mine
    for an Ender 2 Pro. The linear rails might last longer but they are in no way as smooth as v-slot - put the palm of your hand on the bed and move it back and forth and you'll feel which one is smoother.

    The bed cable is just awful. First you had to fix it catching and second it’s so stiff that it will surely break after a while. It’s just careless. They could have done much better with very little effort and no additional cost.

      I agree. The best bed cable solutions are on Artillery X2, Genius Pro and Mingda Magician X2 3D printers (if some Chinese company is reading this reply, and get an idea what to copy ;-) )
