  • If you want to mix things up and potentially save some money, install a Jeep Wrangler TJ brake booster, master cylinder, and proportioning valve on your YJ! I'll show you what modifications need to be made in this DIY install using junkyard parts. Why would you do this? Supposedly the TJ brake booster is a dual diaphragm and maybe that is better, but mostly the brake booster used in the TJ was used in quite a few jeep models, and parts should be more available than for the older YJ booster.

    Did you try measuring up wall spacer removal. not cutting the rod and rewelding

    Nice work. You change the electric fan to the original visco-fan?

      Yup, I was having reliability issues with my electric fan

      I'm really not sure, but the more modern booster was used in a lot of jeeps and has more available replacement parts, so I consider that a bonus.

    good video, does the welded bracket spin or does it have to be welded in the correct position?

      Thanks! It will rotate, though I'm not sure how much we are supposed to be rotating it.
