I just watched it again - for the 500th time - thanks to my parents who showed me this movie as a young boy. I’m now 41 and this is still one of my favorite films of all time.
Bumped into Tom Burlinson when I was window dressing in Portmans, Brookvale, back in the day, he said hello to me, looked me right in the eye, I nearly fell over, lol, kept my cool and smiled, said hello back, made my day, thanks Tom!
Then, what?
What bumped into him?
Fell in love with Tom.
I would faint
I saw Snowy River when it first hit theaters here in the US. ITS still one of my top three favorite movies of all time!! Thank you Sigrid and Tom for creating such a moving and beautiful piece of art that continues it's effect on people after 40 years!❤

What a WONDERFUL interview with Ms Sigrid Thornton & Mr Tom Burlinson! This movie, The Man From Snowy River, is one of my all time favorites. Hard to believe it's been 40 years!
Wore out my VHS copy of it and was thrilled to find the DVD version of it. Also wore out my cassette tape of the soundtrack. FABULOUS music!!

I fell in love with Sigrid Thornton when I saw this movie back in 1982. The soundtrack is definitely one of my all time favorites. I also liked Tom Burlinson in the movie Pharlap.

Thank you for this interview. I loved seeing these actors 40 years later. I live in the U.S. but I would love to see the orchestrated movie . The movie is still one of the best.

Besides the movie, A Walk To Remember, Man from Snowy River is one of my all-time favorite romance dramas!

Went to the movie in a movie theater with my future spouse back in the 1980s. We celebrate our 40th this coming year. The movie was phenomenal. The story was phenomenal. The music was phenomenal. And, yes, the movie and music are part of my favorites.
Sigrid is still beautiful! I thought she was the prettiest girl on earth when the movie came out!😍 And that sexy Aussie accent!!

Really love both man from snowy river and return of man from snowy river. Love Sigrid and especially Tom. Never get tired of seeing these 2 movies and love the music. Got the 2 DVDs and CDs.
Saw this as a child and loved it and still do I always wanted to be able to ride that well but never got that great

One of my favourite films of all time - beautiful locations, great cast, wonderful music. A 'wholesome' film - perfect for a Sunday afternoon. Tom and Sigrid come across as genuinely lovely people. Always 'Jim' and 'Jessica' to me.😉🐎
I wish we could get the sheet music for this in the US. One of my favorite movies and soundtracks ever, and it's on the top of the list of soundtracks that I would like to perform.

Wow, must see if I can go when it comes to Adelaide. I was the same age as Sigrid and loved the movies (1 and 2) and the following TV series. The music was mesmerizing and like others, I wore out my VHS tape back then. 40 years ago - time flies.

It’s very sad that a lot of the current generation of never even heard of the poem The Man from snowy River let alone the movie
A third installment is needed in which the son of their characters has some off beat adventures of his own.
Son of their characters? Including the colt that the stallion showed-off, at the very end of "Return To Snowy River."
Let’s just say that the colt showing off at the end of the sequel, is now their prized stallion for breeding horses. Whereas, the son of their characters, he has been improving things on the old station by breeding Texas Longhorn bulls 🐂 to the family Herefords, producing better quality beef 🥩. Also, as an added zinger, the son of their characters has taken for his spouse the half-caste granddaughter of dearly departed Aunt Rosemary whose only son has a tea plantation in Darjeeling, and his daughter (practically a slightly darker version of her grandmother) with her raven hair that practically reaches her ankles as a lot of ladies in India have the reputation thereof.
Just rewatched both movies again the other day. They are iconic for me. I also loved Sigrid in Paradise and hate that show was cut short. She’s one of my favorite actresses
