That's pretty much how I started out 25 yrs ago, driving for an owner operator who had Big hood Pete's and K.W.s pulling for North American Van Lines. But I was a team driver in A 379 Pete.. Great video, thanks Chris.
I'm a long haul owner operator/truck driver/ HHG mover for 22yrs now and would like to see more footage on the life of a truck driver/mover in longer clips. From all aspects of drivers.
My Great Grandfather started Thomas of Calif/Thomas transfer & storage in ‘44 with National Van lines then Atlas since the 50’s, gramps& Great uncle took over in 1970 I believe, was in family till early 2000’s sold to a San Jose Atlas, great to see a good looking Atlas truck on the road.
Extended hood means its a longer hood model but its just for looks and a longer wheelbase. Gives you a little more leeway when sliding the fifth wheel to adjust distribute the weight between the steers and drives axles.
Hmm! I pulled one of those wagons for a short time at Mayflower with a cabin over Volvo. Yes I'm sure that he's had some problems getting this ride into some of the areas to load or unload? 😯
Nice video.....Do you know what that means when the driver of this pete, and heard others say in your interviews, that they are running an extended hood means?...I am guessing it is longer front to back, to possibly house a larger engine?
another great job bro.... i thoght you were doing only big trucks not lifted trucks but any way is this all you do interview truckers and film big trucks semi trucks excuse me, love your job especially the trucks drove semi trucks for over 12 years.....
I think this truck is for sale on Steve Carbone's you tube channel just in case anyone is interested Steve Carbone is a truck dealer who makes videos on trucks he has for sale if you want to buy this truck or see what other trucks he has for sale look up Steve Carbone on you tube

@@2isceez, it depends on if he's a company driver or owner operator. Owner operator pays out of pocket.

That’s one nice looking rig. Definitely needs a drop visor. I’d put window chops on it, change the grill, get a lower bumper and air cleaner lights
