have you thought of adding a little flux paste? would make the soldering easier. I just got the kit, and will be installing tonight. looks very easy tho, compared to other things I've have to solder
We don't want to make the soldering process looks too professional so we always skipped the flux paste, but the paste will help.
Isn’t inhaling the air when you’re soldering bad?
@neyderpineda9440 isn't drinking alcohol bad?
@@neyderpineda9440 isn’t drinking gasoline bad?
Just an observation.. You don't need to remove the triggers entirely. You can cut the small rubber piece off while they're still attached to the PCB.
Installed it myself, even though I’ve never done anything like that, took it to a shop to do the soldering and it works perfectly fine. Great product, would recommend
Just bought these and fitted them myself. Awesome bit of kit!!!!
Broke my controller while doing this, it was my only one so im really disappointed because I was excited to use it
Same
How tf did yall break it?
Should of had me do it
lmao 💀
@@legitglu9307they probably overheated the PCB in the soldering part happend to me too on the first try.
I was exited to install it but I guess they didn’t package the side grips when they were packaging my kit
Yeah, the listing for this kit on Amazon is a little confusing: I had to re-read like 4-5 times to figure out that the side grips aren't included 😕
I can't seem to find these without the rubber grip. Is that not an option?
(I much prefer smooth plastic to rubber, for feel and longevity. Everyone selling rubber for everything really sucks for me.)
Hi. Here is one big failure in this Video. On the right side the red mark for the left trigger on Video Position 11:32 is marked on the board above TP68. Later in the Video on Postion 16:04 it is marked and soldering left from TP68. What is now the correct soldering point @extremeRate?
16:04 shows the correct solder locations
Yall are champs I was wondering why it wasn’t working. Video even just straight up calls out the incorrect temperature probe point.
‼️‼️‼️‼️This comment should be pinned, I'm so glad I found this. I modded my first controller, thought I got a faulty left trigger button because it wouldnt work. Then modded my second controller and had the exact same issue. Found this comment, went back and resoldered both, and now both work perfectly fine...
I have a question, if the clicky mode is activated, does the trigger register it as a full 100% input? Because in games which have cars or running and require you to press the trigger fully
Is there any replacements for a sauter?
Aren't you repeating the same bit at 21:46? We've just snipped the plastic from the rear shell near the triggers, and then you do it all over again. Am I missing something?
is this kit compatible with the victor x mapping kit for xbox x/s controllers?
Patiently waiting for Dualsense Edge Shells and clicky trigger kits
Please stay tuned!
is there a whole kit for clicky for the xbox series 2?? would love the xbox elite with whole clicky set cause i like it better then scuff but i cant go back cause the trigger click on the scuf is way faster i feel sluggish when i go back to the elite 2
The trigger stops are really good like on the Scuf controller.
But isn't there any way to use them on an Xbox Elite Series 2? Components on the Xbox Elite change so that the kit also fits to this controller?
Is there an obvious way to tell the RK and LK "clicky" and RK and LK "not clicky" parts apart?
Im doing the clicky triggers and i dont wanna mess them up. It looks microscopic in this video.
Does this kit work with the Victor x remap kit installed for the Xbox series controller?
Was I supposed to get the grips on the side? I didn’t and I ordered the whole kit
These make the triggers feel/sound like the ones found on the Hex Ultra X controller?
Yes, this is the solution from Hex Ultra X
@@ExtremeRate Thanks. I might try it because I can't afford a controller.
@@ExtremeRate Do you make a 2 back button kit to go along with this mod? Or only a 4 button kit?
My questions is for the Sodering u did it 2 different ways which one or can you just choose btw the two like im soo confused n i want to do this soo bad
When you are in the normal analogue mode, does it work like a gamecube controller (where pressing the triggers all the way down leads to also pressing a button)? Or do you never even reach the button?
Can I send my controller to you to do it ? If so what is the cost please
I was exited to install it but I guess they didn’t package the side grips when they were packaging my kit😢
Request a refund
for some reason, my back panel just doesnt want to go back on 23:40
GREAT WORK KEEP IT GUYS AWESOME PRODUCTS !!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you! Will do!
I haven’t got a soldering iron is there anyway else I can do this ?
Are we obligate to do soldering
tiene tambien recorrido completo para juego de coches?
This also works with the VICTOR Remap Kit 👍
How do you use it with that kit
Has anyone on here had issues with the existing solder on the control not melting?
What do i do if my xbox controller doesnt turn on anymore after doing the tutorial?
@pissedpajamas5718did to follow the tutorial exactly? I want to do this but I don't want to always use my controller wired
Isn’t soldering bad for your health?
So the soldering places switched during the Hope kit. Do I keep the original soldering places in the beginning of the video or switch to the ones in the 2nd section
The hope kit is a diffrenet thing you have to buy, don't worry about it.
If I got the pack without the shells. Will it still work?
Hello. Is this kit compatible with the victor back buttons kit? If so, is the process same as the hope kit?
Yes it's compatible
whats the difference between the clicky version and the not clicky version?
One clicks and the other does not
Just a few questions about the clicky triggers install with the trigger stops.
Will the triggers still function as normal analogue triggers if haven't switched to short trigger mode on the trigger stops? Or do you still need to press the clicky buttons down?
I'm usually not very keen on clicky triggers as I love racing games and I don't like that they usually involve sacrificing the analogue trigger feature from their controllers in other mods. If this solution enables both ie:
- clicky triggers with the trigger stops enabled
- and still allows for regular non-clicky analogue triggers when the trigger stops aren't active then this is a seriously impressive mod (The triggers are Hall-effect, so I assume you could probably do both?)
Yes, after install the Flexor trigger stop Clicky version, the hall-effect triggers on your controller still functional as normal, when you switch to the short mode, they will become clicky
@@ExtremeRate Wow! Best of both worlds!
Hope we might see something similar for Dual Sense 5. The different technology used for their analogue triggers might be more challenging.
Loving the controller upgrades I've got from you guys so far.
Any plan for the same kit for Dualsense?
Yes, we are working on it but it's not an easy work, please stay tuned!
@@ExtremeRate I wonder if it would be easier to sell entire trigger units to swap out the stock for, rather than parts to install on a stock unit
@@ExtremeRate Honestly, if someone made a digital trigger kit for the PS5 that replaced that whole adaptive trigger assembly with an inexpensive bracket to hold the digital button kit, I'd be fine removing the whole assembly.
Can this be used with the new victor kit?
i did this a messed up my xbox controller board, on the red circle point on the left side it wasnt sticking to it and it wasnt working and then i lost that point due to it burning
If you still have the controller you can just use an exacto knife and scrape the tracing to the copper, then just solder directly to it.
So what is the soldering for and would it work without soldering @ExtremeRate
ita for the 1.5mm trigger stopper
Are these easier to press vs the normal clicky?
It's a bit harder than the normal clicky kit, but after you use it for a couple of hours, it will be similar
Does the clicky triggers kit also work with the Victor remap kit?
yes
On the first picture he marked the dot on top of 68 its the wrong one look at the picture after he finished soldering
Do you have to cut the pieces off the case? I didn’t do that and mine functions well
Cut off the pieces is avoiding the interference between the kit and the bottom shell, if yours fine without cutting them off, congrats :)
I tried to do it and it shows my left trigger stuck down constantly. Do you have any advice?
In short trip or full trip?
Will this work with the victor x remap kit like it does the hope? If so im 110% getting a kit for both
Yes it will
is it possible to get the light mod, rear button mod, and this mod on one controller?
Technically yes, I have all but the rear button
Do ya sell ps5 mic ribbons for the bdm-030
Not at the moment
Where did you pull out the random cord from? At 4:29
What random cord?
Do i need to purchase x2 of this for both triggers?
No, only need one for both triggers
Can you do this without soldering?
No
Still waiting for the BDM-030 😢
Why can it work for the Xbox elite 2
Because Elite 2 has no side rails... But we are working a solution for the Elite 2, please stay tuned
Yes Please 🙏
you can now already, through conversions that attach to the Elite Series 2. No matter what tinkering I have to do 😜
This one fit for xbox one s controller
No it won't
Hello, to see if you have a video with subtitles in Spanish
Well I messed up my controller somehow and it's catching the triggers lol.
Suprised I didn't fail on the solder lmfao
I don’t have melting thingy
It’s 10 dollars on Amazon rn
So cool, would be awesome to have a clicky version for the elite series 2, make it happen guys! :D
We are looking into it!
plz I second this!!!!
Is it okay so when you want to take apart the controller you can just take off the sides with the triggers stops without anything breaking because I have the trigger stops on my controller but I’m tryna replace the bottom back shell and the battery cover without the trigger stops sides breaking
To take off the side rails without breaking any brackets of them, you need skills and lucks
My wires are all black no gray one
The grey is just a tiny line on the wire, but you can ignore the color, it doesn't matter
Cool kit, but I heard soldering involved. No ty. I’m not gonna risk messing up a $70 controller
Yes, only do the soldering work if you are capable with it
I recommend buying a damaged dualsense to practice on :)
Get a second hand controller Paul or how about an expensive suckass aftersale service scuf 😮
@@H3lloSE It's not a dualshock bro it's an xbox core wirless controllet
@@ExtremeRate I honestly feel like if you can't solder, you probably shouldn't be opening up your $70 controller to modify it ....
From the video, you burnt the circuit board where the black cables went, I would never mod my controller if soldering was involved.
Yes, it's quite hard to solder good when we taking the video, the spots are too small and they were about half meter with our eyes. Only do it if you are good at soldering
not a huge fan of mutilating parts of my controller but i guess it doesnt get anymore DIY then that.
Cutting the pieces off is to make sure the switch board does not interfere with the bottom shell, and some controller does not need to cut them off, it's all about luck lol
cool
Thank you
Like😊
✌
It is very complicated to do this, but very complicated. I'm sorry but it's not worth risking a controller.
Why do you guys make trigger stops so complicated 😐
This kit works like full push in short trip
Really terrible product 🤦🏽 and not a lot of people have a solder laying around. And great way to ruin ur controller and waste of time
Meanwhile I ordered one precisely because I haven't had a reason to use the soldering iron I have laying around. And its a great way to enhance my controller and a great usage of time.
