This video is the installation tutorial for the VICTOR X remap kit.
The kit is compatible with our FLEXOR side rails (as well as the clicky version), hair triggers kit, ABXY clicky kit, and LED kit.
NOTICE:
Soldering is required, the difficulty level is HIGHT.
If you have the HOPE remap kit installed before, you can skip the soldering process and start from 18:50.

Just installed two of these on two of my controllers, love it! Was using a strike pack that forced me to use a wired connection so this is the perfect upgrade
Is it hard to solder i have no solder experience just got mine in the mail
@@jehanperez218 It wasn’t extremely difficult, I recommend you use a similar soldering tip as the one shown in the video and just be careful. The soldering iron is really hot and a lot of the points are close to vital components, so you have to be able to hold the iron steady and watch out for any plastic you might come in contact with
@@jehanperez218 Also, really make sure you’re being thorough as you put everything back together at the end. If you miss a screw or the headphone jack after you stick the connector side you’re gonna hate yourself. And be careful not to bend your battery prongs!

Be warned. If you want to do this kit be sure to buy a tiny component saudering iron because i accidentally burned a couple spots on the thin plastic around some of the spots to sauder and also ripped some of the posts off the daughter board. Its all my fault but id definitely make sure your careful with it and make sure you dont burn through. Bought a small saudering iron and another daughter board to try and make it work again.
Biggest Downside is they are using the same super cheap plastic switches like in the older clicky trigger kits that used to crack and fall apart on people. they could have at least used some metal switches like some mini metal 3x6 smd switches or even some met ak 3x4 switches.The3x4m ones are almost identical to the plastic ones used. i alw remove the plastic one for the metal myself. i got tired of customers breaking them.
Thanks for your suggestion. We have to balance the duration and the clicking feedback of the buttons, the cost of the switches is not a thing always
Great kit i just find the the back buttons have play in them and wobble about too much
@extremerate i have nothing but problems today with my buttons when i press i dont feel it click on press my k2 and k4 buttons . i got the kit from amazon 2 days ago and i dont want to have to desolder the whole thing to return back what are my options ?

I’ll love to try to do this instead of buying another $150-$200 controller just get back buttons/paddles. I do miss my Elite Controller. But my main question is “Can I get banned for using a modded Microsoft Xbox controller?”.
No, I think the only reason you could be banned is by being reported for using those back paddle things from Amazon that plug in to the battery slot and have a turbo mode, which you could be reported in that game but not a full Microsoft ban
Will this layout (buttons on handles) be coming out on the PS5 controllers. I have modded 4 controllers using your kits as a hobby for myself usually getting the Rise 4 kit but found K3 and K4 not that useful to me based on it's location. I would love to have a layout like this on the PS5 controller.

I only had four of the testing lights turn on. I tried multiple times to resolder it for a connection but I cannot get the light to turn on. Did I break it?
9:34 nvm I realized it was because I didn't connect the two motherboards together properly. That was my issue.

Excelent product, im so happy transforming my XBOX ONE controller on an elite or professional controller.
To anyone that can help I got this kit yesterday and soldered all the points on then I used the tester board it showed 5 points weren't soldered so I did all 5 points that weren't soldered then I put the tester board on again and it showed on 4 light came on so I re soldered everything but only 4 light are coming on
Do you have to cycle through all the profiles or is it just the ones you have assigned inputs to the back button?

Has anyone came from the hope kit to the victor? And can give comparison for feel? I want to do this but gamerheaven didn’t care for how big the victor buttons were.
I would love to be able, to buy the motherboard. sepprate from the shell. I want to make my own desing, with my 3d printer. Build looks super cool, very wel manifactured. But i dont like the button choise, and the position its in.
can i leave out the motors after i desolder them off the board if i wanted to keep them off after installing the kit?
Sure you can!
You can, but why would you like to? If its to save time during a future installation, I can understand that, but if its so they dont rumble, thats a setting you can turn off in the accessories setting 👍. Happy gaming!
@@arxtixdamien i wanted to remove weight from the controller :D. weird i know.
@powershots I don't see it as weird, the motors for the rumble give it a lot of weight, and make it very bottom heavy. You can especially tell if you grab it by the center of the remote and tilt it up and down.
I would just leave the rumblers. I never use them and it’s just dead weight for me.
What if I want to add the hair triggers too
Do the regular top buttons still work?
It's nice but I find the buttons quite stiff, I've opened it up again and loosened the screws holding the buttons as I thought they might be too tight and feels slightly better, would prefer to feel me clicking the button
My buttons are the opposite there verry loose and now when i press they dont even feel like they click tsken appart and all scres are tight and everythung isbhow iy should be but still loose and now dont click when i shake my controller all you hear is the rear buttons moving about

@leethornton85 maybe the actual plastics buttons for ours are different as in the centre of them yours might be sunken in more and mine might be to pronounced
@@dannydavito201 yeh this is what the issue is 100% i have the purple kit and sombody else having same issue on amazon review so maybe manafacture defect with this colour. Spoke to custmer service and they said they send a new pcb with the buttons but im trying to tell them the buttons work when i remove the pcb and push with my finger and buttons are very loose when its installed so this can only be the issue as all screws are tight

If i have the hope remap kit installed, would I be able to assemble the backplate and connect the ribbon to the fpc connector? Or would i need desolder the hope kit fpc from the controller?

The place of the back buttons are different, and you can save 6 mapping profiles on the Victor kit

Ngl, this shit was super misleading on amazon. Anyone who's thinking about buying this, don't bother. It's much safer and easier just to buy a pre-made controller.
My controller has a constant bips when i power it after soldering and leds wont turn on. All solding points look good. Any idea what could be the problem?
