Actually Nord needs to be tweaked to get the right sound. If Nord is tweaked well then nothing gonna stop it. As Yamaha always sounds well straight outa box
I Love the Nord Piano for it pure Organic richness in piano sounds with special detail to the Teue piano resonance on the other hand,The Modex Shined when you switch to Ole school DX EP. You Can’t deny them YAMAHA filters Although I would love to hear North samples inside of a Modex or Montage

Maby, the Pianosounds of the Nord Stage 3 are sounding a bit more full, but nevertheless I like the Yamaha Piano Sounds as well, because its wonderful soft sound !! As always, it is a matter of taste !

El sonido Yamaha de un piano se asemeja más al sonido de un piano acústico que el sonido de piano Nord. Los otros sonidos no se pueden diferenciar. Le elección podria basarse en precio.
Lo que pasa que son conceptos distintos... Nord es un teclado de escenario. Todos los parametros de configuración estan en el Tablero. Yamaha es un teclado de estudio. Es un poco engorroso programar tus propios sonidos. Y necesitas estudiar mucho el manual para poder crear tus propios parches de sonido.

Your right about the CP88 it's a similar creation. I know the modx is in no way in comparison to both keyboards as far as a professional live performance keyboard . I'm not saying that the modx isn't decent......ITS OVER PRICED . TO BE PLACED IN THE CATEGORY OF THE MONTAGE'S BABY BROTHER AND NO SEQUENCER. YAMAHA DID A LITTLE TO MUCH OF LESS ,FOR THE CUSTOMER.
Me personally THE Nord is a better live piano the sounds are more authentic. Yamaha has a tendency to lose its tone over the years and their not building them like they use too.And Yamaha and roland have always been my choice of keyboards . Yamaha users have free libraries for the MODX from Yamaha, such as the Bosendorfer, Chicks Mark V, Montage Expanded, and when you run out of sounds here, there is Soundmondo which is all free sounds from other users.. Tons of stuff for free and this doesn't even cover all the DX sounds that are compatible with the MODX.. Don't forget on the Nord, if you use the piano libraries especially the large ones, you will have to delete some of the sounds so the new samples will fit.. And you can't load them from a thumb or flash drive like the MODX but have to use a computer to load them.. And it is time consuming, where the Yamaha you can load new sounds quickly.. Soundmondo is seamless but you will need an iPhone or iPad with a lightning connector since Android isn't supported as of yet...

Pero en sonidos que imitan otros instrumentos acústicos como la guitarra acústica, las cuerdas, el saxofón, el Modx es mucho mejor que el Nord Stage. El Modx y el Nord Stage son dos teclados completamente diferentes diseñados de manera muy diferente y posiblemente para diferentes propósitos. Your not comparing apples to apples. Try taking the Yamaha to a live show and you will see how hard it is Play out live with it. I’ve been playing out live for over 40 years and I’ll always take NORD. it’s not to say that Yamaha Isn’t a incredible studio board, I have a montage but my live boards will always Nord.
@@Amatteus I’ve played live numerous times with Yamaha Motif XS, and its absolutely no problem at all(A little heavy perharps)But I really like the Nord alot for live-playing due to its one-knob-per-function architecture. The morphing functionality is also one huge advantage of the Nord Stage(its really quick to program), and yes, I know that other keyboards/workstations also have this function, but no one does it as elegantly as the Nord. (In ex. on the Montage you’ll need to go into submenus to do this, and on Kronos its arguably even worse). I think alot of the love/hate and perharps «controversy» around the Nord Stage has to do with one single thing: The Nord Stage 3 is extremely expensive in the US(which perhaps makes it a status symbol for some). Way too expensive IMO. This is really sad. At the current moment you can buy a brand new Nord Stage 3 (88 keys)in northern europe for around 3700$, and in the US its 5500$. I gave 3500$ for mine 3 years ago, but it has paid for itself many times. -all the best

The Montage is not lighter to travel with. It’s about twice the weight of the Nord.

Nord is of course better, but I wouldn’t say a lot. Slightly in the details but for 2500€ difference I wouldn’t get Nord unless I win the lottery..
You should compare Nord vs Yamaha CP88, comparing to Modx I think is not a fair comparison but anyways Modx sounds very good.
