Guinness is absolutely fantastic in a Dublin pub, there's nothing finer. But when you've tasted Guinness in a Dublin pub, you realise it doesn't "travel" well to anywhere else. But SoT is great wherever you are in the world - and the Now Spinning Magazine channel also!
I absolutely love dogs. They are so loyal, so friendly, so happy to see you, and they are fantastic for mental health. I love going to charity shops or second hand shops & seeking out horror books from the late 20th century, or dvds/blu rays. Last weekend I found a US dvd of Cannibal Ferox in my local charity shop for £5! I love going to historical towns/cities (not London), & go to museums and other places of interest.
1. Reading 2. Astronomy 3. Music 4. Hollywood Golden Age and Foreign Films, especially the art-house films of the 50s & 60s. 5. Inari sushi 6. Washington Commanders. Been a fan for 53 years. 7. Baseball. I'm an Orioles & Braves fan, but I'm so happy you're not a Yankees fan! 8. Winter. Where I live on Hawai'i Island we can drop down to the high 40s in Fahrenheit. So longer nights to take out my telescope and cooler temperatures. Plus we're out of hurricane season. 9. Christmas. I'm an atheist but I was raised in a Catholic family, so I take my extremely fun childhood Christmases and hold on to that wonderful feeling. 10. Cats. I love cats. Kittens are the natural comedians of the animal world. The things they do boggle the mind.
Oh man, I cannot tell you how thrilled I was to see Marvel comics as one of your 10 favorite things. I began reading Mavel around 1962-63. The titles you showed are things I read as a 7-8-year-old. Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, and many others were my heroes. I could go on and on, like how Marvel characters had feelings, flaws, and real-world problems. Yeah, Marvel...'nuff said! Italian food, yes! Like you, I remember Sunday afternoon. The entire family sat at one table and ate together. Those were the days. Thanks for a beautiful list, Pete.
Pizza, hot sauce, iced tea, beer, peanut butter and jam sandwiches-- Pete, we have *a lot* of the same tastes in food and beverages! 🙂 Of course, I love the musical genres covered on SOT, and I'm a longtime horror movie fan too. I love foreign films and film noir, and my favorite TV series is the original "Twilight Zone!" Lifelong dog person too!
Hey Pete, Great show..I love watching SOT Tuesday nights Prog night and the segment with Ken Golden on Fridays..try not to miss any of those shows..Thanks for sharing..I too love my dogs and Pizza and Italian food in general..
Great episode, Pete. It is good to sit down and make a list like that, it makes you appreciate just how much good stuff you do have in your life. Having said that, I'll bet it was easier to compile the list of stuff you don't like. 😆
1. College Football, 2. Pro Baseball, 3. American History, 4. Sweet Tea, 5. Great Guitar Solos, 6. Pancakes, 7. Apple Pie, 8. Museums- all types, 9. Old architecture, 10. The Mountains of east Tennessee and western North Carolina
Well Pete, I was born and raised in New York, but I left there forty years ago; I just don't like big cities. But now and then I still go back, just to visit the pizza. As an added bonus, I sometimes see my family when I'm there.
Ten things I love, in no particular order Snooker - Became a huge Steve Davis fan in 1981 and have watched it ever since Curry - I've been eating Indian food since I was 8 and get serious withdrawals if I go a while without it. Medieval English churches and graveyards - So peaceful, so beautiful, so good for the soul. Photography - What I do, what I can't do without. Italian coffee - I live in Italy and must have two espressos at the Neapolitan bar across the street every morning. Italian pizza - The best pizza you will ever eat is to be found at Sorbillo, Naples. You can thank me later. Animals - I don't have any pets as I travel too much, but being around anything furry makes my life better. English cream tea - Don't have one very often, but when I do it's heaven. Cornish way - scone, then jam, then cream on top. Brass bands - If I hear a small group of musicians playing somewhere untouched by the worst of modernity, I'm a happy man. Marvel comics (1960s-1982) - Big part of my life from when I was a kid. Can remember going to a Chinese restaurant with my parents dressed as Spider-Man when I was 7.
Since your top ten is interesting here’s my top ten favorites. 1 Pizza.🍕. 2.Italian music. 3.Comic Cons. 4.Bicycling. 5.Anime/Cartoons. 6.Fair food. 7.Cats. 8.Sports Cars 🚗. 9.Bird watching/Owls 10.Meditation/The Rosary 📿
I learned some new things about you. We are about the same age and have similar taste in music. Here’s my ten in no particular order. 1. Jesus 2. Listening to audiobooks. I listen to 150-200 books per year. 3. watching NFL and college football games. 4. LA Dodgers. 5. My family. 6. Watching good TV shows. I’m particularly picky on what I watch. 7. I used to love Mexican and Italian food. I am now very strict on the carbs that I eat, I can’t eat these foods much more. 😢 8. Meat! 9. Going to restaurants with my wife as part of our vacation trips. We eat our way around the vacation spots. 10. Watching UA-cam videos like SOT.
There are many things i enjoy, but many of them i am unable to do anymore. I used to love art, video games, creative writing, building puzzles & completing jigsaws, being out in nature exploring, but i have learned to live with what i can do even if it's only in short bursts. I was diagnosed with neurological disease at 23 but continued on doing what i always did, work, exercising & many of the things previously mentioned. At 25 at i got my first dog, a golden retriever, i named her ruby & went on walks and rambled over the 45-acre field behind my home. She loved it & i her but alas it wasn't to last as at 27 i lost the ability to walk so our journey together became smaller but family was there to make sure she didn't suffer because of me but the guilt lingers everyday but what i can do with her, the time with her holds all the importance, she is now 13 & still going strong thank goodness. I have two cats too whom i cherish. They both have such distinctly different characters, both strays taken in, 5 or 6 years apart, but equally loved. I do love whiskey, rum, stout & vodka but have to pick my window between my shots & numerous meds to indulge & it actually feels all the more equistely delicious for it. I also used to build a lot of Lego & Mechanno sets, but as time went on, i was breaking more than constructing. I now have to pick the times i feel strongest & most together mentally, the process to completion may be longer for it but it does not take away the satisfaction of looking upon the completed piece knowing i did it in spite of the obstacles. I have learnt to derive pleasure from the smallest victory, moment of pleasure, or just making it through the day, even if it's a tough one, knowing tomorrow i can try to make it better. Music has always been a passion of mine, just listening through speakers or headphones. I used to attend concerts on the regular & saw many a fine gig, but with being in a wheelchair its a crapshoot whether you will be able to see the band, so i have don't tend to go much anymore but they were immense when i could. Movies are a love of mine, especially horror, sci-fi & film noir. I don't tend to collect comics, not single issues, but i do have quite a large graphic novel selection as well as novels in general, fiction, i used to read fact based but can't retain the info anymore so a good piece of sci-fi/ fantasy or horror fiction are right up my alley.
Hi Pete, really entertaining little blast, thumbs up on the beer - come to the UK and do a real ale pub crawl! Anyway, here are ten things I came up with, in no particular order really... 1 Single malt whisky - as an Aberdonian, I love my single malts, especially the peaty ones, but not just those - Lagavulin, Talisker, Laphroaig (Pron. "Lafroyg") and the tongue-twisting Bunnahabhain ("Bunahavan") are my favourites. 2 Cricket - yes, I know its a game that can go on for 5 days and end in a draw. Deal with it... 3 The Lake District. Heaven on earth. 4 Mince pies. Why can't you buy them all year round? 5. Reading. Sci-fi, fantasy, crime fiction (Rebus is a favourite)... 6 Wildlife documentaries, especially anything done by David Attenborough, still passionate about our planet and presenting in his 90s... 7 Walking. In the countrysude, round London, back to the Lake District again... 8 Sticky Toffee Pudding. If I'm in a restaurant and it's on the menu I'm having it... 9 FC Barcelona. Since the playing days of Koeman, Ronaldinho etc. I know off the pitch things have been a little dodgy lately, but it's all about the football for me... 10 (Brace yourselves) France, French and The French. Beautiful country, wonderful food / wine and gloriously opinionated people, one of whom is one of my best friends.
Corner Sicilian slice from Brooklyn pizza and dipping the crust in the sauce! Yum. DiFaras pizza is the best pizza I ever had. Smoking a cigar and an ice old beer on a warm sunny day in my backyard!
No order - just a few: Japanese woodblock prints, BBQ cooking, White Grape water, College Football, The American Revolutionary War history, Grouper sandwiches, a day at the beach, junk hunting on weekends for nice things that I and my family collect, worldwide travel and everything fun and mirthful about Christmas. - Heather
As soon as you said Dave’s Killer Bread, it further reaffirmed me why I’ve been watching you for years now. The older I get, the more I realize that hey, I can’t and will not skimp out on quality food. Great on you for that shout, Mr. Pardo, love to hear it!
10. Hot Sauce/ Spicy Food 09. Italian Food 08. Mexican/ Tex Mex Food 07. Getting a good buzz 06. Volunteering/ doing good work 05. I'm not a huge sports guy but I love watching Hockey 04. Travel 03. Hiking/ Long walks 02. UA-cam/ Podcasts just in general but especially if it's about music or movies 01. Collecting/ Thrifting (Usually for used media, A/V gear and clothes.)
Like your list, Pete! You've got some things on here that I'm passionate about as well (eg, Pizza, beer, hot/spicy, GUITARS!) And obviously Rock n Roll, Horror flicks, etc. are especially huge for me. Very much so. BUT...I was waiting to hear the one thing that I had the feeling you would eventually say, up near the top...and man, if you didn't, I was going to come on here to say as something about it! But I only had to wait until, as it should be...#1! ---> DOGS!! 🐶 I know that you love your dogs how we love ours. And that is to the fullest! And as you said, there are so many times when I feel (know) and say, that they're far superior to alot of people. Thankfully, there are a good amount of "quality people," like you, who appreciate and respect DOGS as they should be. Because they truly are...THE BEST. Dogs enhance your life with responsibility, contentment, happiness and a true feeling of family. Heh. When I was younger, I loved dogs, cats... animals in general, a plenty. But it was when I got into my later 30s, my wife and I adopted a pittie with an awesome personality and soul (Emma), and ever since then, we've been dog crazy... the awesome deep connection has been there, every day. Now weve got Betty, Stanley and Coco, who are all just as awesome & wonderful (plus a groovy cat named Bowie) Anyway, I'm glad you made this video, and yeah, you came through at the end, with the best, most true, fun, loving and loyal... DOGS 🦮 easy #1. And then ...Guitars, pizza, rock n roll and horror flicks Marc ⚡
Yes, Pets over people any day of the week. Unconditional love. My favorite things 1) This should be obvious given the channel but fast aggressive complex dense music that has a lot of improvised virtuosic guitar solos. So, a lot of Fusion fits that description (holdsworth, Jean Luc Ponty, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Cab, Tribal Tech, Frank Gambale, Fragile, Chris Poland's OHM. Return to Forever, Shawn Lane, Cab, Animals as Leaders and many more) 2) Wilderness/mountains and hiking/backpacking in them. Not much beats backpacking in wilderness areas if you want to lift your spirits up. The spectacular scenery with their snowclad peaks, thick forests, rushing rivers, cascading waterfalls, Crystal blue alpine lakes, clean refreshing mountain air and the sound of wind hitting the trees in a remote area with people is hard to explain what it does to you. 3) Cool rainy and even snowy weather provided that it doesn't get too extreme to negatively impact driving. Related to that Rain hitting the roof or the rooftop of your car. Great to calm your spirits. 4) Pets like dogs and especially cats and kittens. Cats and especially kittens do wonders for the spirit, there is nothing like a cat or kitten falling asleep on your neck. I feel they are better than Humans at giving and receiving unconditional love. 5) Working out. I don't go to a gym anymore because I want to save money, but I have my own dumbbells and I'm constantly walking at a very rapid pace as a part of my job so that helps 6) Great Food. Thai Food, Flatiron steaks, Ribeye steaks, NY Steaks, TriTip, Strawberry Ice cream, braised Pork ribs followed by putting it on the Barbecue, Strawberry ice Cream, CheesCake, Spaghetti with Italian sausage, Barbecue Burn ends if they are done right, Calamari, Octopus, Chicken wings, Cabbage done right, Pizza, grapes, Cherries 7) Good TV Series like Breaking Bad and the Wire. 8) Brown Bears, snow Leopards and Tigers. I love their power and speed of all those animals (Brown bears also can be fast) 9) Monty Python Flying Circus 10) Various youtube channels include Sea of Tranquility
Some good selections Pete.Going to agree with a few of your top 10. Hey Pete, thanks again for these videos especially the one today on the stuff that you like I kind of figured as you were moving along that dogs are gonna come up as number one. I have a poodle and I love him unconditionally and he’s kept my life going since my wife passed away about three years ago. I started watching your channel during the pandemic and everything about it is great. I would love to sit down with you one of these days and break pizza with you have some good hot sauce and a good beer anyway thanks again.
So glad you like good beer. I'm drinking my homemade Porter now while watching! If you ever make it out to California, six beers on tap in my mancave with my stereo, with my music collection (mostly vinyl) right around the corner inside.
Leaving out the obvious ones like the wife, family and music: 01. British real ales (the best beer in the world!). 02. Ukrainian food: "varenyky" (or "pirogis" as you Americans call them), "holubtzi" and "borscht". 03. Anything ever done by John Carpenter - movies, music and comic books. 04. Cats. 05. Star Trek (everything up to and including "Enterprise" - everything afterwards is trash). 06. Linux (and O'Reilly books on Linux!) 07. Cornwall. 08. (Growing) chillies (my home-made Chilli Jam beats your hot sauce!) 09. My "man cave" with lots of old computers, my electronics workbench and "stuff". 10. Board gaming.
@@WhizzRichardThompson The Germans make the best sausages in the world and the Belgians the best chocolate and mussels - but their beer is rubbish and if I want bubbles in my beer then I just take a bath.
@@terrydaktyllus1320I used to work in Germany (I'm British) so I know all about German sausages. 👍To be honest I love most 'foreign' food, but especially Indian. 😋
@@WhizzRichardThompson My favourite band in the universe is a German progressive rock band named "Eloy" (Pete occasionally mentions them on here) and I ticked a "bucket list" item by seeing them live in Berlin back in 2012. The tears of joy in my eyes when they came on stage were marred slightly by the terrible flatulence that I had having supped 3 or 4 pints of German Weissbier prior to the concert.
Being of Italian heritage, I love absolutely almost all Italian food really big on the linguine clams, and mussels! too incidentally, I had two Siberian husky dogs that I absolutely loved back in the day ,they were my my best friends. Your dog is beautiful and she looks like she has a little Alaskan malamute in her too anyway, great Pete, you are into some good stuff !
My 10 favorite things 10: Italian Food ( Mostly lasagna and spaghetti) 9: Photography 8: Guitars( I have an Ibanez that my pop gave me right before he passed away) 7: Tigers( I love Tigers to death I even named my cat after my favorite animal who tragically passed away a couple years ago in my arms) 6: My 3 Cats and 2 Dogs 5: Horror Movies 4: Taking Walks( I normally like to listen to music while taking walks . Mostly the music comes from the topics we talk about on this channel. 3: Djing at The Bar/VFW( every weekend I like to play music for the veterans and show all the good music I learned from this channel and my parents while growing up( I'm 26 and they ask how I learn this good music) 2: Video Games ( this is basically my UA-cam channel and I love to do things i love and I said hey why not help people on Games who can't bear it or show them secrets) 1: Wrestling(mostly WWE I've been a fan since I was 5 and me and my dad always go every year)

Things I love. 1. Totally agree on dogs. Not many things hurt as much as the loss of your dog. 2. Ice cream including malts, shakes, sundaes, banana splits, etc. 3. Mexican food. Living next to the border there are several outstanding Mexican restaurants & I don't mean Taco Bell, Dell Taco & El Pollo Loco and other American fast food restaurants 4. Concerts. Live music brings energy to me. 5. Watching/rewatching old movies. I'm not impressed with the lack of great acting, writing & direction with most movies this century. 6. Italian food. Pizza, veal dishes, etc 7. Beer. Like you I love seasonal beers like porters, stouts, Oktoberfest, pilsners, etc. & I'm tired of IPAs. I do love old school beer like Miller High Life but not Budweiser, Coors, etc. I used to be a bourbon guy but as I've gotten older I stick with beer or vodka. 8. I love interesting conversations on topics like movies, music, sports, history, travel, food, restaurants, peoples history growing up, etc. w/o people trying to one up each other, dismiss others opinions, etc. 9. UA-cam deep dives into movies, music, TV shows, history. 10. Sports used to be high on my list as I loved watching baseball, Pro and college basketball, NFL, CFL and college football, hockey& men's & women's tennis. Now I watch CFL & parts of other sporting events. The Dodgers, Notre Dame football & San Diego State University are the teams I support most. I'm an SDSU alum.
It’s amazing that you’re the first person I’ve heard about that hasn’t had their Husky escape. I’ve known several people had theirs jump fences never to be seen by them again.
@@logancollins7097 Everyone likes at least a little vaudeville. Even if it’s just the Bugs Bunny/ Daffy Duck opening to the old Warner Brothers Cartoon Show!
Very cool, Pete. Though I've gotten away from them in recent years due to the onerous burden of storage and buying seemingly endless titles, I've been fascinated with comics since I was a kid and still am to this day at the age of 63. Don't know what it is, but I love them. I also love the same eras you mentioned, right in my wheelhouse. But comics might be the single biggest rabbit hole I've ever discovered and it's easy to get overwhelmed by the collecting. I've known about your Comic Book Geezers channel for some time, just never subbed. That's been fixed and you're now one sub closer to 5K. Cheers.
This is a great list Pete! I couldn’t agree more with your number one! Dogs are the best and I love mine so much. Way better than humans! And born and raised in Chicago, I understand about your baseball team love, and also your pizza. We got some pretty awesome ones here too. Guitars are up there for me as well, and for the same reasons as you! 5🌟👍🏻💯 Thanks for an interesting change of pace.
1. Steak 2. Whiskey 3. Gym 💪 4. My music 5. Spicy food 6. Nature/wildlife 7. Tea ☕ 8. All things JRR Tolkien 9. Astronomy 10. Traveling to different countries
Looking at SoT, Comic Book Geezers, your appearances on other channels, the fact that you have a "day job", I'm surprised not to see KEEPING BUSY on this list. Conversely I expect to see sleep in the next show! I take my hat off to you sir!
Thank you for the two very entertaining videos. I can totally identify with most of the topics you mentioned, especially your love for dogs. My Lagotto is named „ Lemmy“ for obvious reasons, and he is my best buddy. It‘s interesting that you got more clicks and likes on the negative topics, but that‘s the way things work on the Internet, right? All the best for you and your channels, I keep watching.
Being Scottish, I am definitely with you on the beer thing. Loads of great ales in the UK, mostly England sadly, but we have a few good ones up here too.
Pete, I bought a potted fig tree on a whim last year and it produced about 2 dozen figs this summer. So I looked up a recipe for fig jam and boy, was it delicious. Also, I live in New Haven and am blessed to be about a 10 minute drive from 3 or 4 outstanding apizza places.
Keeping obvious things like family, pets, SoT and specific music & movies off the list... here are OTHER things: 1. Drinking Beers on Saturdays 2. My Basement [movie room, arcade and bar] 3. Going to Ace of Cups for Concerts 4. Pittsburgh sports teams 5. My Jeep 6. Arcade/Pinball Machines 7. Sitting Out by the Backyard Pool 8. Retro Toys from 70s and 80s 9. Hot Wings/Sauce 10. Those Little Cans of Blue Bird Grapefruit Juice
One of my biggest non music passions is whiskey. LOVE a good micro distillery whiskey. My number one I've gotten is actually from your neck of the woods Pete. A seasonal winter release from Denning's Point up in Beacon NY. Currently trying to accumulate one from as many states as I can. Have Maine, NH, Vermont, Missouri, Ohio, Utah, Alaska, Colorado, and NY.

I love bowling! Just an easy concept of getting your bowling bowl, finding your spot, and hit the pins. I have gotten about over 20 games with 200+. I'm about a 160-170 average bowler.
Although 3000 miles away, I share quite a few things. Beer, Pizza, not baseball but cricket (same idea). Also, a bit nerdy but have to add big screen Tv's Loud stereos and my fave, my model railway 😂😂. And have to mention the bride, without whom I would be lost...
Years ago I went to a place in the west village in nyc called Peanut Butter & Co. I ordered the Elvis, which was a grilled peanut butter, banana, honey, and bacon sandwich. That was back in my 20s when I could eat anything. But I still like a good pb and strawberry jam.
Here in the Deep South of Savannah Georgia we drink nothing but sweet tea with lots of ice….you’ll always see a jug of Milo’s Sweet Tea in the fridge….ok Pete my 10 fav things ( not in order )…by the way I’m 61 now….fav things…. I'm 55 and struggle to consistently exercise. I have my moments when I'll walk/jog for an hour 4 days/week then I'll go a 4-5 days with no exercise. Not disciplined enough and I need to lose 20-25 lbs. 6'1'' 212 isn't gonna cut it. You've inspired me to be consistent and stay with it. Crucial at my age. Thanks for the video. Cool to hear about personal things. Go BRAVES! Webb in ATL
One of my favorite things is watching SoT especially Saturday evening with a pint of Guinness
Guinness and SoT is good for you
Guinness is absolutely fantastic in a Dublin pub, there's nothing finer. But when you've tasted Guinness in a Dublin pub, you realise it doesn't "travel" well to anywhere else.
But SoT is great wherever you are in the world - and the Now Spinning Magazine channel also!
Or in my case, 3 or 4 pints of Guinness.
Yesssss!!!!!!!!
Yeah, Guinness is peak at its home. The further away, the greater the taste disparity, but if it's what you are used to, you won't know.

"New Haven pizza is fantastic." Amen I say to you!
Apple Pie,
Enjoyed both videos, Pete. Thanks for a little more insight into the workings of the Pardo mind.
I love brussell sprouts.
I second everything you said about the Mets. More often than not they break my heart, but I keep coming back full of hope every year.
Loved this episode Pete, totally agree about Dogs.

Ten things I love, in no particular order
Snooker - Became a huge Steve Davis fan in 1981 and have watched it ever since
Curry - I've been eating Indian food since I was 8 and get serious withdrawals if I go a while without it.

Excellent list Pete, practically mirrors my own! Thanks for sharing!
Great to see the love of our friends across the pond Sir Iain.
@ziggyzagzi8017 Thanks Ziggy , have a drink on me!
Corner Sicilian slice from Brooklyn pizza and dipping the crust in the sauce! Yum. DiFaras pizza is the best pizza I ever had. Smoking a cigar and an ice old beer on a warm sunny day in my backyard!
From one beer lover to another. 🍻
Cool stuff Pete. Pizza, wine, guitars and animals. I’m in. Oh, and exercise.
I live in East Haven CT Pete and yes the whole Haven region has killer pizza. East, West, North and New. We spoiled here! 😊🤟🏼
Dave's Killer Bread is fantastic, I got on the train a couple months ago and I'm never going back
Love Dave's! Been eating it since it first came out.
@@seaoftranquilityprog That's what she said.
10. Hot Sauce/ Spicy Food
09. Italian Food
08. Mexican/ Tex Mex Food
07. Getting a good buzz
06. Volunteering/ doing good work
05. I'm not a huge sports guy but I love watching Hockey
04. Travel
03. Hiking/ Long walks
02. UA-cam/ Podcasts just in general but especially if it's about music or movies
01. Collecting/ Thrifting (Usually for used media, A/V gear and clothes.)
Like your list, Pete! You've got some things on here that I'm passionate about as well (eg, Pizza, beer, hot/spicy, GUITARS!)
And obviously Rock n Roll, Horror flicks, etc. are especially huge for me. Very much so.
BUT...I was waiting to hear the one thing that I had the feeling you would eventually say, up near the top...and man, if you didn't, I was going to come on here to say as something about it!
But I only had to wait until, as it should be...#1! ---> DOGS!! 🐶
I know that you love your dogs how we love ours.
Now weve got Betty, Stanley and Coco, who are all just as awesome & wonderful (plus a groovy cat named Bowie)
Anyway, I'm glad you made this video, and yeah, you came through at the end, with the best, most true, fun, loving and loyal...
DOGS 🦮 easy #1.
And then ...Guitars, pizza, rock n roll and horror flicks
Marc

Great idea for a video I've seen going around. Aside from music, my loves would be improvised theatre, video games, swimming, and poetry
Hi Pete, thank you for sharing. I am a jam person as well. Happy that you mentioned CBG. Cheers, Sal.
Yes, Pets over people any day of the week. Unconditional love.
My favorite things
1) This should be obvious given the channel but fast aggressive complex dense music that has a lot of improvised virtuosic guitar solos. So, a lot
of Fusion fits that description (holdsworth, Jean Luc Ponty, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Cab, Tribal Tech, Frank Gambale, Fragile, Chris Poland's OHM. Return to Forever, Shawn Lane, Cab, Animals as Leaders and many more)
2) Wilderness/mountains and hiking/backpacking in them.
Cats and especially kittens do wonders for the spirit, there is nothing like a cat or kitten
falling asleep on your neck. I feel they are better than Humans at giving and receiving unconditional love.
5) Working out. I don't go to a gym anymore because I want to save money, but I have my own dumbbells and I'm constantly walking at a very rapid pace as a part of my job so that helps
6) Great Food. Thai Food, Flatiron steaks, Ribeye steaks, NY Steaks, TriTip, Strawberry Ice cream, braised Pork ribs followed by putting it on the Barbecue, Strawberry ice Cream, CheesCake, Spaghetti with Italian sausage, Barbecue Burn ends if they are done right, Calamari, Octopus, Chicken wings, Cabbage done right, Pizza, grapes, Cherries
7) Good TV Series like Breaking Bad and the Wire.
8) Brown Bears, snow Leopards and Tigers. I love their power and speed of all those animals (Brown bears also can be fast)
9) Monty Python Flying Circus
10) Various youtube channels include Sea of Tranquility
Some good selections Pete.Going to agree with a few of your top 10. This is most enlightening Pete. Tea has to be hot, though, just like coffee!
Nothing like a good icey pint of beer 🍺 on a hot summers day!
Leaving out the obvious ones like the wife, family and music:
06. Linux (and O'Reilly books on Linux!)
07. Cornwall.
08. (Growing) chillies (my home-made Chilli Jam beats your hot sauce!)
09. My "man cave" with lots of old computers, my electronics workbench and "stuff".
10. Board gaming.
Yes, your number 1 choice is spot on. British ales are easily the best beers in the world. 👍
The tears of joy in my eyes when they came on stage were marred slightly by the terrible flatulence that I had having supped 3 or 4 pints of German Weissbier prior to the concert.
the pint i liked the best was theakston dales pub sometimes a black sheep scot pub tennants
Cool video. Hot sauces and craft beer definitely on my top 10 love list too. I hope it’s ok if SOT and the Atlanta Braves can also be there together😊
You can't beat indulging in a space cake whilst listening to rock music on a great sound system and scoffing a great curry.
Oh yes, beer, dogs, family and music = Heaven.

Things I love.
1. Totally agree on dogs. Not many things hurt as much as the loss of your dog.
2. Ice cream including malts, shakes, sundaes, banana splits, etc.
3. Mexican food. Living next to the border there are several outstanding Mexican restaurants & I don't mean Taco Bell, Dell Taco & El Pollo Loco and other American fast food restaurants
4. Concerts. Live music brings energy to me.
5. Watching/rewatching old movies. I'm not impressed with the lack of great acting, writing & direction with most movies this century.
6. Italian food. Pizza, veal dishes, etc
Oh, they've gotten out a couple times over the years through the garage or the side gate, but we got them right back.
I love beer as well….I buy a lot of local beer….love it! Great local breweries here on PEI!
That was interesting and entertaining. I share about 7 of your same favorites with slight adjustments!
No Vaudeville on Pete's list! I'm shocked
Cheers.
Great video Pete lovely to hear your other interests.
If I ever get over to USA Hudson Valley is my first port of call ❤
This is a great list Pete! I couldn’t agree more with your number one! Dogs are the best and I love mine so much. Way better than humans! And born and raised in Chicago, I understand about your baseball team love, and also your pizza. We got some pretty awesome ones here too. Guitars are up there for me as well, and for the same reasons as you! 5🌟👍🏻💯 Thanks for an interesting change of pace.
Congrats on signing Juan Soto. Great get for the Mets.

5. Spicy food
6. Nature/wildlife
7. Tea ☕
8. All things JRR Tolkien
9. Astronomy
10. Traveling to different countries
Really enjoyed this one, Pete. Thanks for sharing.
Looking at SoT, Comic Book Geezers, your appearances on other channels, the fact that you have a "day job", I'm surprised not to see KEEPING BUSY on this list. Conversely I expect to see sleep in the next show!
I take my hat off to you sir!
Beautiful list, Pete! I'm right there with ya on everything but comic books! Thanks for sharing.
Dogs always have to be number one!
That's sounds great, and lucky you to live so close to apizz!

Thanks peter,
Im 100% on about dogs i also prefer dogs compere to humans but mine doesnt like music.regards from sweden

There was a song years ago about a Southern beer . " Titties Beer". Sold in 2 packs . Big ol' Jugs .
Yea , an oldie but still a goodie .
Toasted tomato and bacon sandwiches and grilled cheese sandwiches are still amazing!

Years ago I went to a place in the west village in nyc called Peanut Butter & Co. I ordered the Elvis, which was a grilled peanut butter, banana, honey, and bacon sandwich. That was back in my 20s when I could eat anything. But I still like a good pb and strawberry jam.
I'm also a big lover of hot sauces! To the point where my wife gets irritated by the 10 or 11 open bottles taking space in our fridge 😂
