I can get my 24” bull barreled ar up to 3600 fps using a 52 grain and more using a 40 grainer but 4200..... no way haha thats a fast lil booger man!!! Like a 220 swift!!!
In a future video video could you do a scientific experiment and see if you can make an airbag deploy from shooting the front bumper lol I know it's probably a dumb idea but it would be a really fun video to see......I think all of your videos are fun videos though for real and educational to

@@awesomesauce668 um... the hornet has been around for a long time, had a savage 22 hornet that was made in the 1940s. CZ makes one, Ruger, etc, so there are a bunch of them out there.
Great "fun" video as always. Well I have a .22 LR, .22 wmr, and a 5.56. My father in law's favorite all time caliber was the 22-250. Very fast and inside 400 yards would drive nails and have that shock effect. My next rifle will most likely be a .22-250 in memory and honor of him. My favorite year round night hunting rifle is still the .22 WMR. And the .5.56 is still my favorite defense rifle.
It reminds me of when I was a teenager my brother and I would pick one of dad's guns and shoot stuff and compare different calibers . nothing but smiles here Thanks
220 Swift still holds the record as the fastest . 22 caliber centerfire cartridge with a published velocity of 4665 fps using a 29 grain projectile and 42 grains of 3031 powder. Great video bud 👍🏼 !!!
That old school 22-250 is holding it's own. A metal & armour test is a good idea. I may have missed the bullet weight on these. Was that a 40 gr. V-Max in 22-250. And was the 224 Valkerie an 80+ grain? I would have expected more velocity out of it. Good show. Thanks
The difference on game in the field between 223 and 22 mag . Not much. Nothing like the number would suggest. A 22 at 4000 fps is in a whole other class. I know a 225 win is about the same as the 22/250. The 225 win will bore a dime sized hole in ar 500 steel at over 100 yards. Barrel burners tho. About 3-5 thousand shots and the barrel is toast. Not a bad thing tho . Easy to bore and riffle out to whatever you chose. 223 is the limit of speed and barrel burn .
I don't see a 22 tcm ....what's the deal who tee? 😂🤣 That 22-250 drops the same energy at 200 yards as a 223 does at point blank. You need to shoot a water melon with that....it turns to vapor 🤯
WHO Thank you for this video: I shoot all but 22-250, never got a chance and skipped under my radar. I'm well educated about it now because your video, and I'm impressed about that round screaming past 4000FPS, I wish they make an 22-250 AR upper. GOD bless you brother.
Great video. I know plenty have already mentioned it, but a .220 swift would have been real icing on the cake. If you do another video with the .22-250 on steel, it would be worthwhile to include it. If you know someone who can do it, there is a .220 handload floating around that puts a 29 grain in between 4600-4700fps.
Yep, the crown of the 22 caliber stuff just so happens to be the .220 Swift. With the same weight bullet as the .22-250 Rem, you should see about 150-200 fps more. Here's an obscure 22 caliber: *.219 Zipper.* It's a .30-30 casing necked down to .224 caliber. From Wikipedia: _The .219 Zipper cartridge was created by Winchester Repeating Arms in 1937 to be used in their lever-action Model 64 rifle. It is a 30-30 Winchester cartridge necked down to a .22 caliber bullet. Marlin Firearms also offered their Marlin Model 336 rifle (Marlin 336 Zipper) chambered for the cartridge._ _While the .219 Zipper was supposed to compete against other varmint cartridges of the time, most lever-action rifles use tubular magazines, which prohibit the use of pointed bullets. This led to problems with accuracy. Winchester stopped producing .219 Zipper ammunition in 1962, Remington Arms stopped production of the cartridge soon afterwards._
I would love to see the chrony difference between 22tcm vs 22tcm9r.. either just those 2 compared to eachother, or those 2 thrown into the mix & compared to all of ones in this video that you just posted.. also I'd like to see if there are any significant differences between the 22tcm shot out of the RIA 1911 (origin gun for the 22tcm) and compared to the 22tcm9r shot out of a glock with the conversion kit which allows the glock to shoot the 22tcm9r...please please look into making a video for this...i do understand that you might not have access to either of those 2 firearms which would make it difficult for you, but please see what kind of strings you could pull to make it happen, I know that lots of your viewers/subscribers would love to see it as well since I seen that I wasn't the only one in the comment section making the same request in a couple of your past "22 caliber comparison" videos, including this video as well...i hope all is well with you, and I apologize for leaving such a chapter length comment..but I hope you take the time to read my comment and also take my comment into consideration... The classic 22 Hornet would be nice to see. The Valkyrie looks like it's pushing the heaviest bullet.
.222 and .22 Hornet - both sweet rounds and a 220 Swift which is fast like the 22-250 you shot.
That 22-250 scoots right along. Thanks for the video.

.22 mag actually gets my attention the most. Yeah the last 3 are supposed to be smoking fast but the .22 mag gets overlooked a lot

What’s happening my friend?... Read down through the comments a lot of the guys were on point and knew it was a cci 22 cb round
Cool video. Educational, too.

Great video
I think the most surprising was that tiny 22 short beating 1000
Me too I would like to see a do over on that one . Usually the short and long use the same bullet.
The .22 short uses a lighter grain bullet from what I've seen on a recent Demolition Ranch video.
