I actually feel sorry for nomads that have no home base. It's so comforting knowing we have a nice paid off house in a nice neighborhood we can always come back to if we ever get tired traveling. Going to new places can be fun and interesting but constant traveling has its own stresses and challenges so when you do come home, you appreciate the things you always take for granted. Take care and good luck!

Ive always wondered why alot of the vanners out here are in so much of a hurry to travel the country, I mean, isnt the purpose of the #vanlife to minimize, slow down, breathe & just take it at your own pace? I see so many trying to scratch off tons of states in a single year, but why, take it easy, slow down, meet people, every state as a whole has SO MUCH to offer rather than just the lil' tiny piece so many hit in these videos I see. As an expediter, I am so blessed that im PAID to drive around the country and see all these sights!

Veraci is the best pizza in town! Period. Glad you found it. As for your wanderlust, i am static nowdays and have done the traveling thing. I think this time of year makes everyone a bit itchy to move on. I'm from az and wasn't used to all the darkness at first. Come summer though, there isn't anywhere else i would rather be. Thanks for bringing your unique perspective to youtube, I am enjoying your channel a lot. Seeing someone do basically what i did here a few years ago (move in a van to seattle and discover the city ĺittle by little), but in their own way has been an unexpected treat. I've been here for years and I am still finding new and exciting things to do. For example, I recently went squid fishing for the first time which involves standing on a freezing pier late into the night in the rain and wind. Didn't catch any squid but we had a blast and caugt a few fish and crabs we let go. 5 years in to living here and I find myself at midnight out in terrible weather, soaking wet, smiling ear to ear and loving it. I felt like i was miles from the city when really I was rigt here in Ballard. Also found a new overnight spot the same night that has one of the best views ive ever had and very quiet at night, still here in the ciy. The adventure is a lot of times what you make of it in my opinion.

It is all in knowing how to dress. Only need 3 pieces of clothing. Rain coat with hood. Rain pants and boots. All you can get at your local boating stores and of good quality. I've walked around in really bad storms and been cozy and dry while others dodge and huddle shiver. Try it you'll find it very freeing.

Really nice video. Bloom a little where you're planted. I like PNW Granny channel for the same reason. They used to be full time RVers but they are settled currently back in Tacoma due to hubbys's health. They often take country drives and film the areas providing background information about the Pacific NW. I think you've hit on something very important. Cheers from a fellow coffee lover.

This is an inspiring & calming video. Sorry I haven't watched in a while. I've been transitioning to less & less technology time. Anyway.....
Once again, I can relate to your thoughts about being totally present in the present, finding beauty and sometimes joy right there in front of you. Remembering "why?" We started this nomadic journey. You really nailed it with the statement about not focusing on planning grandiose trips but rather really exploring what is local. I truly enjoyed riding along on your day. Could almost smell the coffee and taste that pizza! Simple, ordinary & beautiful pleasures made more beautiful because you decided to stop, breath, see, experience.....thanks for these reminders! Namaste!

Love the garden! To me, van dwellers really have it good - they can choose to wake up next to a garden carefully organized my man in the middle of the city or wake up in the middle of a "garden" organized by nature on public land in the middle of nowhere! Very different gardens but equally beautiful in their own way.

I always feel like a blasphemer because I generally only buy the mini-doughnuts instead of the organic, free range, Buddhist-monk raised chicken eggs for $12 / dozen or an $8 head of pesticide-free lettuce. But then again, I can't help but notice the doughnut booth is the only one with a line :) Come spring, check out the Seattle Arboretum (free admission - but always under construction). Best time in my opinion is when the cherry trees bloom - I think Mid march to late April. (Though the rhododendrons and everything else bloom a little later). It's a pretty place to walk around for about an hour, get lost, realize you should have picked up a map, then wander back toward where you think you left your van... Located alongside the Arboretum is the Japanese garden ($5 admission, I believe, but it's worth it).
