- We took one for the team and bought these new LED headlights for the Nissan Frontier and threw them on Kyle's 2015 Frontier.

I tried out some lights before but they were for 05 to 08 yrs before the facelift change in 09 which is a sneaky detail most dont list since most things are the same from 05 to 21.

I have a 2011 frontier but I want to upgrade to a 18 -20 frontier. Love my little truck. Runs as good as the day I bought it. I like reliability and I like to get 12-15 years out of a truck.
Can you guys do a video on more details of this headlights with led installed on. I would like to use led auxito on it. Im in need of some headlights for my truck.

Saw these online yesterday! Also wondering how leds will improve lighting.
Is there a separate input for the DRL? Since the DRL is integrated with turn signal can you wire the DRL to be on with truck?
Love the look and hopefully the price will come down a little because I think the look sets the truck off very nicely. I love the blue I wish mine was that color blue.

These look great! Did you notice when you did the hazard lights the passenger side blinker didn't work. Aside from that I think these are awesome! Looks great Kyle!

@@valentezavala3284 nope. Just have to run a fanless LED bulb. That’s really the only downside.

Shouldn’t their also be an option for the C light to be a DRL? If so I’d be willing to swap my Marimotos. I actually haven’t had any problems with mine and I’ve had them for about a year.

They are definitely worth the money I was a little concerned about it because I bought them before anyone did. I was worried if they were real or not but when it arrived I was so excited. I did not put LEDs In yet I wanted to watch someone else do it first so can’t wait to see LEDS when you guys install them.
Do the LED DRL strips turn on automatically when the truck has power? Or do you have to have the parking lights on. Thanks!
@@EthanSilver no so the first click on the light switch would be the turn signals that’s what it’s replacing The LED is just a daytime running light and when you turn on the turn signal on it turns orange and then when you turn it off it goes back to white.
@@Mason-fv1zl wait so if you're just turning the truck on, DRL isn't running? Only if you turn the first click, then it's "on" but it's orange?
@@tungle991 yes when you turn the light switch to the first click it comes on but no it’s white it’s only orange when you have a turn signal on.

Installed these about a month ago in my 2018, previous lights were the garbage tier OEM reflectors. These blow them into orbit. I removed the halogen Installed Katana H7 and H11 led straight away, if you take your time with aligning the bulbs in the projector you won't get dead spots or glare and you do get a sharp cut off line. I barely had to aim them, I was able to install without completely removing the bumper, dropping it slightly gives enough space, its unnecessary but removing both front tires and removing the fender liners is helpful, I also had to pull my battery but I've also upgraded a few years ago to an H7 AGM so ymmv if you haven't dropped in a new gigantic battery in place of the tiny OEM.
Did you get the LED with or without fans? Can you use fanned bulbs?

my two front bumper panels are one piece on my '19 frontier. i'm unsure if that makes it harder or easier lol i'll have to look
I swapped out my scuffed stock lights on my 2016 Frontier. It wasn't that bad. That side 90° angle bolt can be tricky but not impossible to get to.
I'm looking to maybe get a set of these now with the 22' aftermarket grill replacement.
These aftermarket lights must connect the high & low headlights already. I'm still not sure how that works. Factory only has one headlight plug
Is there a video on how to change the bulb on these? One of my night headlights is out… I can’t really see how the hell you do it when I took off the rubber plate. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
You have to take the rubber plate off and behind it is the bulb. It’s a bit tight back there so good luck. Might be easier to remove some stuff in the area to make room

Seems like there have been a few new headlights available for the Frontier lately. Are y'all aware if these fit the 2008-2012 Pathfinders? Or anything that fits?

From my understanding 08-12 pathfinders are wider up front and so are the lights just a tad so Frontier lights wont “fit” but unless you buy some and try who knows
pathfinder has bigger lights.
What size lift do you have on the truck? Looks good with the new lights.

Excellent video, I ordered and will be receiving mine in a few days.....QUESTION: What H7 LED's are you ordering? A simple fan-less like the "Lasfit L1 Plus H7" , I am concerned about the rubber dust cover/cup thing that is attached to the rear of each projector housing. Do you guys plan on just cutting that rubber dust cover housing and installing a H7 LED with a fan ?
I ordered the Auxito bulbs. They have a mini fan built into the H7 bulb. We will see if they fit or not.

there's rubber covers on the back of the lights, pull those back and you can get to the bulbs.
How are they holding up? Without upgrading the bulbs, is it a big step up compared to the stock headlights in brightness?

I read the akkons have issues with water infiltration, rusting, and also that the DRLs would eventually stop functioning correctly. They would turn off on their own and for some reason turning the wipers on would get them to turn back on. Seems to be a common issue and remedy, along with poor customer service. Have you experienced anything like that?
zero issues with these so far except for the clear coat has started to peel on one of them.
Would you say that the light output with the halogen bulbs is better than the ebay black housings you had before? Im currently running those and they're less than impressive.
the light output with these isn't great either. your best bet would be to retro fit the current lights you have with a high quality projector.

The factory is one unit, high and low in one unit.

if the bulb has any kind of fan on the back, you will have to make custom caps to seal the back of the headlight.

These headlights are build to use an OE style bulb. the turn signals have a built in resistor.

Nope. It all works through the factory light harnesses

Can you post a comment instead if a video and tell us how they are 4 months later? Just to confirm only one side flashes when the blinker is on?
Headlights are great and no, the LED C light portion flashes as well when blinker is on.
@@AlldogsOffroadCoop both sides "C" part flashes when one side blinker is on? From a safety point. Doesn't seem safe unless just the side you want to turn to is flashing.
@@mellocke1943 Kyle had his flashers on when they were both flashing. only the side with the turn signal activated flashes

Agreed, but they are an OEM replacement so makes sense that they would stick with the OE bulbs
Wish I had your budget. These budget lights are over 700 dollars. Lol I can think of a bunch of other things I can spend 700 bucks. Thats like 5 dozen eggs here in NY

Kyle did, they are better than the halogen bulbs it came with but still not great. He is still trying to find the a good style of bulb for them
I think you would have been pleased multiple times over with a retrofit. LED bulbs are not the solution.
