    Lovely build, I’m wondering what the wide open PVC at the top is for - the mist maker? 😏

    Pretty cool design really like it
    but one question please how do the orchids survive without getting root rot?
    That’s a lot of water running down them all of the time and they will not last that kind of abuse so Do you turn off the pump quite regularly ? Orchids need to dry a bit inbetween watering and therefore need air flow or air circulation such as a fan so that they don’t die or get fungal issues and melt . What is your process please, I can see people trying to recreate this and having a complete failure because they think orchids need to be wet all the time just because they come from a cloud forest but in actuality it is a very fine balancing act… could you please share what you do to keep them going 🙏🏽 thank you 🙏🏽

    • @TheWorldofGreen

      Thanks mate! Yes the pump is on a timer to allow the orchids to dry and they are carefully placed on the more dryer areas of the scape.

    I am from tropical place. It is số hot round years, usually 30- 35 C degree. So do you have solution to keep the temperature down to 15 - 25 C degree to grow orchid?

    So, could you put some fish at the bottom? Or would that make the water not RO anymore and kill off the RO specific orchids?

    • @TheWorldofGreen
      @TheWorldofGreen  Рік тому

      It’s too small for fish and pure RO could harm the fish

      I rescaped it a while ago. But it was working without any problems. The watering system was on a timer to let the plants dry. Perfect conditions for the orchids 😊

      @@TheWorldofGreen Do you remember how often and for how long you ran it? Ho much time it was taking for the foliage to dry? And how often did you change water, as for what I know lepanthes is usually grown with RO ater? I'm really surprised that F. Pumila grows with so much water, and without any soil. I started a 90L terrarium about 2 months ago but the minuta and quercifolia really strugle. Their leaves yellow, melt and fall. I mist once a day with a misting system for about 40 seconds, but the terrarium is closed and the humidity is 99% at all time. But it seems that your humidity is somewhere there too, as you don't have ventilation to the outside. I have an internal ventilation and cooling system that keeps day temperature about 22.5 degrees C and night about 17-18.
      Here is it: ua-cam.com/video/uTnjXKA4gkg/v-deo.html
      There are few more orchids waiting to be put there, including L. calodiction.

    If you keep adding water (drip system) and not removing water from the bottom soon you will have an overflowing aquarium. Not to mention standing water that is not cleaned will get putrid. So, something is wrong here.

    • @TheWorldofGreen
      @TheWorldofGreen  11 місяців тому

      None of what you said is the case here. I mean have you even seen the video?

    • @jolap9344
      @jolap9344 10 місяців тому

      Why "none of this is the case here?". Obviously, you are fogging - so adding water to your paludarium. Is 100% of that added water absorbed by the plants? If yes, then you do not have a problem and the only problem you have is your attitude to any hint of critique. @@TheWorldofGreen

    • @themountain59
      @themountain59 3 місяці тому

      @@jolap9344 the amount of water added through fogging is neglectable .
      @theworldofgreen My question is :What percentage of humidity you have in the tank? Very nice collection you have there and ,as others said before , I would add maybe a Betta to the tank .

    These videos are beautiful but would also love to hear a bit more about your personal connection with this art form. What draws you to it? Why do you make certain projects? What are things you value in a x-arium design? Conceptual and tactile. Theory and plant.

      Thank you very much. I would need a Voiceover for all this information. I don’t think that’s something I want to do. There are many other UA-camrs that like to talk an tell their story. I prefer to let the images speak for me
