Borislav's speech was really something, all in all I have to say this event felt more professional than the actual "Game Awards", do you agree? It was so easy to be a fan of Larian last year. If someone had told me in 2020 at the time of Baldur's Gate 3's early access release that Larian would be commemorated like this I wouldn't have believed it. The bloody Grand Slam of GOTY. It became the first game that won GOTY award at all five major video game award ceremonies at the Golden Joystick Awards, the Game Awards, the D.I.C.E. Awards, the Game Developers Choice Awards, and the British Academy Games Awards. CONGRATUFACKINGLATIONS
Right? I mean, I was a fan of their work since the first Original Sin (I have played the older Divinity games but they never "struck" me), I expected BG3 to do good from what I had seen in EA, but never would I have guessed THIS good
A whole different vibes from TGA, awesome moments that made the show are ones from devs present there, like the speeches from teams behind Viewfinder, Hi-Fi Rush, Venba, etc... You feel like "interacting" with the people behind the game given the cozy and calm vibes of the show, opposite to the busy/noisy glamorous TGA. I also like how Andrew's speech alone is longer than the entire BG3 moments at TGA, lol. Thanks for listening to my suggestion. The BAFTA show feels more humane, prestigious, formal and def deserve more recognition 🙏
You know, I feel a bit sorry for all the other game developers who made good games last year. In any other year it would have been Zelda or Alan Wake winning every major award. But they just had no chance against that absolute masterpiece of a game that is Baldurs Gate 3.
I had no doubt thy would win a LOT of awards, but first spot on ALL major ones, that's a first one! I had a VERY busy month, with starting a job, and tending the garden, will have some photos tomorrow, now is night time here, 10 PM, but it's going great! As far as gaming, I took a small break from BG3, after 14 runs, and I'm still recovering from humiliating loss, I don't have to tell you who did it, my hubris once more took the wheel, and brought me at Ansur's feet :) He fried me, LITERALLY! Then I decided to binge Fallout show, since I'm fan of non-Bethesda Fallout's (1,2, and Tactics) and I loved it! then I decided to play Fallout 2 right after finale, but it's a little too old now.. I got to Vault City almost, but then I installed Fallout 4, and decided to give it a chance - and I couldn't immerse myself in the game, I like old-school turn-based Fallout a LOT more! So then I went searching for newer games that original creator of Fallout did, and I found a gem that I missed, a TRUE spiritual successor to Fallout 2, WASTELAND 3!
Welcome back! Long time no see, I never played the original fallouts but I did watch the show and it kinda made me want to try them, though am way too busy with other things, between making videos and streaming bg3 xD. Wasteland 3 is really good, you'll have plenty of fun I'm sure
@@Saretz If you're fan of turn-based combat, you'll LOVE original Fallouts, specially second one! First one is on time limit, you have 150 days I think to find the water chip, before your vault dies from thirst.. I really wish that original creator of Fallout Brian Fargo stayed involved with the franchise, I don't like Todd as a person too, not just developer! The first thing he did with Fallout, is removing turn-based system! There's still V.A.T.S. system, I know, butthat is just for aiming, after you exit vats, 5 different enemies atack you from all sides! In turn based, you can strategize, and minimize the damage, but in real time, CHAOS! And in the games where ammo is severly limited, turn-based would have save a TON of bullets!
@@zoranhorvat8284 I'd Say it really depends on a game to game basis if I enjoy turn based, sometimes I do, others I don't, wouldn't call myself a fan in particular

Borislov deserved his award for sure the music in BG3 is astounding and amazing. It gives every minute of the game so much more life.
@@joshnizzle agreed
Larian deserves all the awards in the wolrd. Please never change. ❤
fingers crossed

😉 No problem, indeed it felt much different than the TGA, more "professional" I'd say, everyone had their time
Andrew Wincott is amazing ❤.
Hard agree, though they all are I'd say :p

Hey, in the end, there is only first place
Best game in the last decade no question
By now, we should start to refer to BG3 as "The Lord of the Rings of videogames" xD
you know what? actually...not that wrong
