I built a raised bed for a customer yesterday and it seemed like every trim board i was face nailing I hit the screw behind it lol. I feel your pain. If I ever need to pour a porch I feel certain I can do it after watching your detail in this forming. looks good Tony!
Thanks! It may be overkill but I really don't want any blowouts! I get sick of it when I'm doing this stuff but that fades when the project is done. Ya'll have a good day.
Coming along nicely, Tony. The termite treatment is new to me. How long is it supposed to last? I think you could've used your Builder Pros when stomping that rebar down...LOL.
Thanks! The termite treatment is a bank requirement/mortgages around here. I think it's a little ridiculous since the termites would have to eat through concrete to get to any wood. The treatment under the slabs is "forever." They come back and inspect annually and spray around the perimeter as part of the contract we have to maintain for a mortgage. I could have used the Nicks with the heavier sole but didn't think about it. Like I responded to Michael, I've been wearing them off camera doing stuff in the woods but not around the house site. I'll probably start wearing them more once all of the concrete work is done. Plus it looks like we're not going to be concerned with mud since it hasn't rained in a month and no appreciable amount is in the forecast...great for building but crap for hay and gardening.
I've been wearing them for woods stuff but not on camera working on the house. Too much mud tracked into the RV or concrete and stuff I don't want to clean off of the boots. The Double Hs are "disposable" work boots and the soles are a LOT easier to clean off than the lugs on the Nicks. It wouldn't be much of an update beyond "they're still comfortable and I'm glad I got them." Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thanks! Keep watching. We're finally getting out of the dirt so things are going to start moving along on the house. Plus, I'm going to be doing some sawmilling and working on the jeep as time allows.

@@ozarksethic overkill is always better
It's definitely easier to expend the energy on the front end than it is to fix a mess on the back end.
@@ozarksethic right on. I've always said Do it right the first time.

No longer wearing the nicks boots? Would be cool to see an update video
