i think its kinda rough to call Sensui a villain he is a antagonist for sure, but man ... just like most of the big villains of this show his story is pretty sad
You could watch it however you want but the English Dub is basically perfect. I mean genuinely I don’t think I’ve ever seen an anime where the voices fit better in English than the original language.
Yuyu and Samurai X for me has the most beautiful anime songs. Yuyu and Dragon Ball is so Popular in the Philippines during the 90s that it rivals primetime local TV shows.
I was not expecting to see this on my recommended. Yes, this show is old, and it got dubbed way later than current shows. I think it was one of the flagship dubs produced by Funimation and.... well, I almost never recommend this but the liberties they took with the dub really works out. This is Hunter x hunter's literal predecessor and still the show/manga I prefer. I will preface this as a warning; if the ending seems a bit weird, it's because the show got axed. There is a final arc that ties everything up neatly. If you like the show, I do suggest checking out the manga (Arguably a bit darker than the show, some elements were changed in the adaptation for it to be slightly more kid friendly)
The white tiger is actually called biako A reference to biako The Guardian of the cardinal point West, You might recognize this song because it's also well done in english

It's a shame you didn't point out the massive improvements in animation quality between each opening lol. From the first to second, you can see a vast inclusion of sakuga scenes where the action is just much more packed with frames and interesting perspectives.

FR, very few anime from that era had such great dubs. YYH, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and Ghost Stories to name a few
Its great but japanese is good as well ppl dont give enough credit to it and praise the english one like its a holy scripture or something
YYH was definitely on Toonami. It aired sporadically from 2003 until 2005, and was usually paired with Rurouni Kenshin in the back half of the block.
