Hmm. I'd try options when I say if your PC is older than a few years. probably want to do 30fps, encoder is ultrafast, bit rate 2500-3000, 2 keyframe interval and see how that goes.

I have the best recording settings in the description below. I recommend using different encoders of you're wanting to stream and record simultaneously. If you have an NVIDIA graphics card, follow the NVIDIA streaming instructions. Then follow the x264 recording instructions and see how that goes. You're gonna need a great computer to do both.

I don’t think you can stream without lagg unless you put whole pressure on your cpu so use x264 encoder cause your gpu is really outdated try lowest settings possible

Yes! I have an 1800X that streams well on x264. Just remember to choose faster options if your PC uses more than 40%. More up to Fast or Very Fast and also I wouldn't go above 5000 or 6000 bit rate.

Hmm. Upload speed of 5 may be what limits you here. You can try upping the downscale filter to area or bicubic. Then possibly changing your encoding speed a notch slower.

In obs studios, I have the nvenc graphics card option but whenever I click "start streaming", it says I have an encoder error, but in stream labs, I don't have the nvenc option...

@@zachbianco Well, actually yes. The bitrate makes it so your screen doesn't have these chunks of lag on your screen so it does actually affect your stream.

In OBS it's telling me I'm using around 25-30% CPU usage and if I check task manager it bounces around from 40-60% while running the stream. Is this alright? Especially for long term 3-5 hours straight per day? can I push it even more? should I back down a bit?

It'll be skippy and streamlabs constantly says I drop frames all throughout my stream (by the end of it, I'd get a message saying I dropped about 82% or something like that). My audio is smooth and isn't choppy or anything such, it's just the frames to my stream. Here's my PC info: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4160 CPU @ 360.GHz with 6GB of ram For streamlabs, I use everything said in the video except my base resolution is 1920x1080 and 1 keyframe interval Could you help me out here?

2.3 upload is going to be hard to work with. Literally the most you can go is 2300 bit rate but that's assuming you have nobody else on your network.

Hmm.. Usually that mean's your bit rate is too high. I'd suggest lowering your bit rate to 2500/3000 area and see how that goes.
