To get the glovebox out: open it and squeeze the tabs on the sides and let it drop down, then there's two little 7mm bolts.
Other than that Godlike video, thanks broh.

So lovely that it helped everybody else. I’m on my second day and still can’t get the goddamn dash out.

Keep it up, my friend! Take more screws out then, but remember to to mark every screw and the location where it came from (I used blue tape for this). I didn't unmount the steering wheel, so I only could pull out the dash a little bit, just enough to reach the heater core. I loved my Ranger, but gave it away 5 years ago. Check other videos too, there are many good ones. You can do it!

Thank you so much for your help. Your video inspired me to do my 95 ranger with ac myself. Saved almost 800! The only thing I would add is that you need to move the air intake and the coolant reservoir forward so the ac can slide back far enough to access the bolts for the heater box. Great Video!

    Great video.... Thank You!
You saved me a TON of time while changing out my '99 Ranger's leaky heater core.
It really doesn't take that long, especially because you identified all the bolts/nuts that need to be removed. I had first looked at the video that 'Mr. Car-Guy' had posted on his *easy* way to replace the heater core....what a hack job!!

working on my 02 ranger edge now. my first vehicle &. well. reliability I dont know about all of that. its like once a month somethings acting up. this month the heater core. last month airbag light. before that the anzo headlights were fubar & had to get a replacement. before that I had some problems with a squeaking belt/ idler pulley & my camshaft synchronizer were fucking up. & when I first got it I had my abs fixed by a ford dealership. & damn it took them all day to fixed the abs sensor & about $3-400for a $30 part

1:23 Did you remove the screws behind the A/C unit in order to pull out the heater core?

Is the trim with the blue tape the unnecessary to remove pieces?
    Great video BTW.

This may be good for a robot or A.I., but the sht goes too fast for anyone serious about fixing their truck. 5 negative stars. Music sucks too.
