Hiya! How did it work out with the microwave? 3mins for water? didnt it overboil?! From what I remember, microwaves only work on water molecules (hence why something like soup becomes hotter faster), and your dried up soap has *no* water in them barely so...they ended up burning..but I really was looking forward to seeing them be reshaped into hearts!
Mum puts squeezed out lemon in the fridge to absorb smells (and it also leaves a nice fresh lemon smell), maybe that would work for a smelly microwave too?
Would you let us know about maybe like a starter kit on equipment to get when looking to start making our own DIY products? I've watched a few of your videos before but I feel like I want a list to prepare myself before starting to make stuff, I don't want to be caught out. I'm really looking forward to making a healthier "vaseline" like alternative. I use vaseline a lot in the winter and something better for me and better for the planet would be so much better before I run out of my current pot. :)

Yes I'm so sad the soap burnt, I dind't add any water. I wanted to make them into heart shapes too :(((
Thank you so much for the lemon tip. I'll have to do that next time. The bad smell lingered for so long, but now it's gone :)
Yes I can definately talk about what products to use when you want to start making your own cosmetics. I do have a short video making eco-friendly vasaline. I'll link my blog post with the recipe. Note that you can use any oil that you like for your face! :) Happy to help

@@eco.amical thank you for the recipe.
I think something that might have worked (maybe?) would have been to cut up/grate the little soaps and melt them with veeery little water, and then putting them in the mould to "set". Just like what you did with your shampoo bar but hopefully less water wld mean it'll solify rather than become a paste.
Speaking of shampoo bar, Your one really foams up! Mine doesn't really which always makes me feel like I haven't washed my hair enough lol.

@@swt5736 Yes I think that would have been a better idea abd to add a little water. Oh no! soap foaming doesn't neccisarily mean it's cleaning your hair but I do understand. The one I had is from The Earthling Co :) Lasts really long

This might seems like a weird comment but it’s not honestly . I just wanted to congratulate you because you aren’t getting fillers of Botox for your lips lines aka ( nasolabial folds ). As I’m getting older , mine are becoming more prominent and I’m still struggling to accept and like them . Seeing you with yours , seeing how confident and happy you are with them is giving me more courage to accept mines as well 🙏🏾🤍

Oh thank you so much. I never thought of nasolabial folds as a bad thing and just normal for people any age :) Lines and wrinkles are where smiles have been. I am not young I have 2 teenage boys, I know people don't expect me to look 20. I'm very happy with my life and try not to worry about what I look like. I instead live share knowledge
