  • You can shop Take A Note planner directly from their website. It’s so easy to shop…just remember that the amounts are in Taiwanese Dollars so you’ll have to convert to your local currency. For reference - as of the time of filming - the B6 planner in TWD was $700 which was approximately $21.50 USD so don’t freak over the dollar amounts. Also the planners don’t sell out as quickly from their site whereas retailers generally have limited stock.
    Shop their store here: take-a-note.store/en-us
    Or you can shop from a retailer like Yoseka stationery for available items: yosekastationery.com/collecti...
    *And a list of all the retailers worldwide can be found here: take-a-note.store/en-us/blogs...

    If you don’t use bound planners - TAN also sells insert style planners that fit personal TN and standard (narrow) TN size…and the personal TN size (called Record series) could be deconstructed to use in a Personal Ring Planner (or Bible Size Plotter too). Don’t use paper planning? TAN also has a digital planner that’s pretty awesome! So, make sure you check out their website for all their products and accessories.

    The grid in the b6 is like that because the Taiwanese write in traditional Chinese characters so a typical grid in the a5 or a6 won't be enough space.

    Oooh I love canvas and paper textures; those covers look luscious! 🤭 I considered these planners for 2024 but still too in love with my Hobonichis. Still… very tempting 🤔 Thanks for the info and visuals!!

    I sure wish the A5/A6 layout was in B6 size...that would be perfect. I am trying the A6 size for the first time, super excited. Rachelle in Seattle

      I totally agree! I love this layout too actually - it's so versatile - but a B6 in the schedule would be amazing. I wish they'd offer both because I'd use them for different reasons. :) Let me know how you like the A6 size.

      Is b6 the best size?

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  6 місяців тому

      @@UnlistedLogos it really comes down to personal preference. Some people find A6 too small for their schedule (or writing size) and some find A5 too large so B6 is a good happy place - in between. It’s more portable than A5 but more functional space. But honestly depends on your planning style, needs and comfort.

      @@JustScribble alright thanks. I was wondering which size to get for the first time and wanted to go with one that’s most popular first since most people would prefer that one.

    I love the look of this A5 planner and that the pages are slightly higher gsm than Hobonichi but I sadly need a full pg a day. If only!!!

      It's a great planner but totally understand needing a page per day. Keep an eye out for my launch...I think you'll like it :) I've been sharing sneaks in the community tab and I'll be doing a video when samples arrive.

    Thanks for showing the B6 in depth and with lots of suggested spreads. How is the grid darkness compared to Sterling Ink?

    I have been scouring the internet for this but Yoseka stationary is all sold out. I love the memo layout bc I tried the night based on your review and did not love a full vertical layout. I think the flexibility of this layout would be ideal. Thank yiy

    Do you find the print in the take a note planner darker than sterling ink’s planner. I’m considering trying this one. Also is the paper a little heavier than tomoe river paper. Thanks

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  8 місяців тому +2

      So I do find the print a little darker and clearer. But part of it is also because there's no shadowing from the other side so it's clearer. The TAN planners are TRP (Tomoe river paper) but they are 68gsm TRP so it's a thicker TRP paper so there's less shadowing and ghosting and the paper is a tiny bit thicker. Fountain pen inks and watercolours don't shade/sheen quite as much on it (though it still works great with them) but also more pens and markers work without bleedthru or shadowing.

      I did go ahead and order the take a note planner. I have some booklets from Sterling ink. I heard she made the print a little darker this year but I still find the graph lines a little light for my taste. That’s why I didn’t order her dated planner. I think I prefer Hobonichi to Sterling ink for that reason. I do like a little heavier paper so I may like the take a note.
      I like Midori paper and heard on a UA-cam video that they may come out with a new planner next year. The only thing now about their planner is that the month squares are small and the rest of the planner the lines don’t go across the whole page. So I’ll be interested to see what they come up with. I do like Midori grid notebooks. Thanks for your comment.

    • @JustScribble
      @JustScribble  8 місяців тому +1

      Oh yes Catherine did darken them from the 2023 version but the change was slight. One goal in the planner I’m designing is to make my grid darker so it’s easier to see. Good to know about the Midori planner. I’ll have to watch out for that! I hope you like the TAN planner.

      @@JustScribbleSo I decided that TAN planner was not quite a perfect fit for me even though it is a very nice planner. I still found the print a little light. I think as far as having TRP paper I still prefer Hobonichi planners. Also I’ve decided that a Moleskine pocket or A5 graph notebook works great to draw simple monthly and weekly 2 page spreads. I can list my appointments and weekly to do lists and allow some extra pages for notes. Probably need 2 books a year like avec style. I started a small lined notebook from Target that I already had to start my monthly and weekly to do list for December and it is working fine. And I still have Hobonichi to use for more notes for commonplace and yearly reference information. I think going forward I’ll just use Moleskine. I don’t have a work schedule so a graph notebook will work fine. I really indulged myself this year on Hobonichi and fell for several covers. I do like Hobonichi especially the day free. But I don’t have to go crazy every year. I have several unused past Hobonichi books I can still repurpose and use. I did get the Sterling Ink monthly and horizontal weekly booklets that I’ll put in my Travelers Co TN. Next year my planner buying goal is to not fall down the planner consumption rabbit hole. Just keep it simple. Moleskine for appointments and tasks, Hobonichi for commonplace information, Travelers for fun - collaging, stamping, small photos from trips, etc.
