Gday Steve, the kubota tractor is near unbreakable, here in Australia I’ve seen these little tractors absolutely driven in into the ground and still do a days work and they always keep good resale value, small hobbies farms are a big thing now and these tractors and the grey fergie are very popular, before I retired I was a truck driver and I had to pick a little kubota from a caravan part to take to a workshop and I honestly felt sorry for the thing, it had been flogged and hard but still started and ran no trouble at all, just a bent steering linkage, your brothers have done a good job with all the modifications, great work, ATB Matty🇦🇺

Last year I had the two cylinder version in bits for a bent con rod. It turns out they can be straightened and can be stretched back to length. :o We didn’t get to try it though because we found a second hand rod in Holland. (Rare engine) it’s an amazing and has way too big of a loader, so it has a lift box full of old tractor batteries.

ROPS is a good safety addition, but needs a lap belt as well if one not already fitted.

Hello , I am interested to find ROPS for my KUBOTA B7100. I do not live in USA OR Canada where probably in the past there was a program to fit one on your tractor with a discount. Can someone give me a name of a company that sells them? I live in Europe by the way.

      Hello Steve,
I have found your modification video very helpful. I have a 2005 Kubota BX1500D that I purchased new. In the past 17 years I have suffered the lack of an RPM gauge and decided to remedy that. After viewing your video, I was going to obtain the same components that you used and was glad to see the links. Both links took me to their respective products, however the magnetic pickup link indicated the item was discontinued. It recommended an alternate item that had nothing whatsoever to do with a pickup for a tachometer. I'm sure I can find a pickup, but I wanted to be sure that "any" pickup would be compatible with that RPM gauge? If it's not too much trouble could you recommend a pickup, or if you know if the one in the link is still available somewhere??
      Thank you,
      Wayne

The roll bar I can understand but why the rest on a toy tractor?

Hi Michael. I take it that you must be somewhat naive when it comes to to machinery and tractors in general. This is just a small estate where it is ideal for its intended use. A larger machine used here would be counter productive and damage the grounds. This Kubota tractor isn't a toy but a fully operational and capable machine built for its intended purpose, maintaining smaller grounds and doing jobs which a larger tractor would be unable to do effectively.

      Steve,
Born and spent the first 35 years on a farm with a great deal of machinery including a 4630, td5 and a dinky vintage massy. There are those that use tractors and those that play at it and add go faster stripes etc. I agree the kubota is a capable machine in tight spaces and used extensively in asia with no rpm dial in sight whether it is part of the new Banggood range or not. In capable hands a kubota can be very useful even dragging the occasional gang mower around.

That tractor is a long, long way from being a toy, it is a real workhorse, a mountain goat in the right hands. Diesel engine, 4WD, 3 speed PTO, large enough to cultivate an allotment size plot in short order, small enough to get into many back gardens and do a full clearance, add to that, any implement that went on the little grey Fergie will fit it................definitely not a toy!
