The funniest part of this is that the Dentist is actually a really good Dentist, for a cavity that needs a numbing agent, that was really fast.
Nah, its just american policy. They tend to use laughing gas / tranquilizer for the tiniest stuff you can imagine, so nobody can sue them or be all like ''BuT It HuRt''.

Giancarlo is such an amazing actor, specifically I enjoy him as an antagonist. His calm and collected demeanor always enstills fear in me as he is perceived to have some carefully constructed plan for any potential scenario.
He was also the perfect choice for Moff Gideon, no one was a better choice for an elite imperial general.
When I first heard the dentist I knew he was going to betray, just by the way he sounded and with his voice I could tell it was a mysterious character with not much known background
No one else could say the line "I need my Payday 2" and utterly sell it.

You see, when the Second Death Star got destroyed, the word has spread over the galaxy, that Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader entered the Throne Room (where Palpatine was) and only Luke left it, alive. Vader's redemption wasn't know to other people, so, they say "this mf Luke killed Vader and the emperor", making him a living legend, even more than before. When he arrives at the cruiser in his X-Wing, Gideon recognizes the lightsaber, mainly because there is no other Jedi (at least known) at that time, it was obvious who was the unknown savior. He was afraid because, if he singlehandly killed Vader and Palpatine, nothing stops Luke from killing him.
I love when Gus said I need my El Camino: A Breaking Bad Story too. Truly masterful writting Bravo Vince.

+VahkiDane Dallas is my favorite heister because of this trailer. You can just *see* the tension and nervousness in his face when he stares down the cop. Plus the song in the background is about a bank robber who feels regrets for his choice of career, which is what Dallas has been portrayed as since the second game. He's basically the guy who deep down wishes he hadn't chosen the life he had for both his sake and his family's (Houston), but at the same time realizes it's too late to turn back so he reluctantly stays with the rest of the Payday Gang as pseudo-leader (after Bain of course). So much more characterization than any of the other heisters...
Dentist: I need my. Payday 2.

I just know the Dentist preplanned this too. Getting Dallas's usual doctor a vacation, scheduling the police officer for an appointment so that he's out in the lobby waiting with him and a normal person to make it look like he's just a normal dentist. And getting appointments with the right people in advance so he could have a little bit of insider knowledge. All so he could talk to him with little other choice to get him and the Payday gang on these jobs.
I think he is an actual dentist because he actually drilled Dallas' tooth.

yeah idk the payday 2 story is kinda strange, i think most of the live action stuff is good (even post ending stuff, since that was all done after 2018) but it's kinda in the nature of the game to be a bit goofy and not too gritty, like how helmet popping covers up what you're really doing or the catchphrases/snarky comments characters have always made while taking down specials, i like the cutscenes but honestly the way the game plays is fine, as long as they dont do ANYTHING close to ethan and hila for pd3 and clear up the story a bit more while adding more ingame character interaction it'll be fine (tl:dr goofiness has always been in the game, 3 might be more gritty with atmosphere as long as they dont mess up story and add unnecessary characters like ethan and hila)

This must’ve been his job before he owned Hawthorne Wipes. He had to become a dentist after the whole meth business thing practically blew up in his face
I like it how Dallas is in fight or flight mode in the intro due to his life of crime. He keeps checking for ways out of the building, cameras, the police officer, and the civilian. It’s like he’s actively planning for what to do if he gets found out, even though that’s mostly unlikely. Also that subtle little chuckle from the Dentist when Dallas says he has a job in banking makes me laugh every time.

I like the fact that the dentist revealed himself after he drilled his tooth. This is smart since Dallas would have a drilled tooth uncared for. That would make finding him easier and making his life harder.

His role here in Payday is by far my favorite he’s done. From the moment he first appears he’s unsettling and is extremely intimidating. Giancarlo is an incredible actor.
