Love the dash, don't forget to allow the for the engine kicking under torque with the height of the brackets! Moving forward, stubborn gets you places :D
Thank you Marcus you are making great progress with the cars. Love your work as it brings me back to a time when I was a lad working on my cars is my dad's shed, Thank you
Great work and big cheer for sorting the gearbox mount and getting rid of the whine 😊. Go for the tall brackets so you have clearance. For dressing the loom, wrap it with tape or spiral plastic as appropriate to get it neat and tidy once you have the sparks all working. (Rule of thumb) allow double the time you think you need for all the Esther prep ready for the summit. Look forward to the next one.
@@marcushayesfordbecause on the original 6 clock dash, the orange light on the lower left next to the Red battery light was for the oil switch to let you know to check the oil just in case you were running low. Therefore, green would be an alternative. Blue was main beam.
Nice work mate Esther is coming on now , dial lights go green so much nicer at night , I can’t wait for your summit run trip have you got more people and cars to film on your Ireland tour?
Good progress mate 👍 blue backlights would look cool...match the car colour ... But I'm not sure if it's a bit too much VAG group-ish 🤔 your clock on the wall in the garage ... I've got the same one!! 🤣👍
@@marcushayesford not yet purchased as I was going to ask where I’d purchase such epic clocks but you’ve done that now I must of missed it if mentioned before😂 my partners going to kill me 😂
Hiya Marcus, I’m sorry to say I much prefer the six clock dash, but heyho it’s your car and your call. Awesome video man 😊 Ps……those gearboxes are very susceptible to the correct oils 😮 theres a video on UA-cam that explains the correct oils 😊
Marcus dont bodge the oil pressure switch buy a new one. Its the most vital gauges you need to work properly 👍👍👍
Very true mate! 👍
You should convert Heidi from 4 door to a 2-door escort with new panels 👍🏼
Would be awesome to have a 2 door Mk2! 👍
Big respect to Adam i follow his channel he's a different class.
Then forget the beige and go rally style and Cossie power 😁👍

Good to see you smiling again Marcus. Also, thank you for the merch. It arrived yesterday. Marcus Hayes has a following in Derbyshire!
Thanks for representing mate! 👍👍👍

Keep cracking on we all have our highs and lows with cars👊
Green bulbs look better imo 👍👍
I think you’re going to need to use the taller strut brackets Marcus, 🤔 to allow for the movement of the engine.

Nice work. Think you should make the indicators work on the orange dash light. Not the green one.
That’s a good point actually! Now I’m wondering why is the original indicator light green??? 🤔

Thanks for the advice mate! 👍 I’m well aware of the GL5 vs GL4 thing tho. Even type 9s can be destroyed by running GL5. 👍
Hi Marcus, just put an air colded engine in n it'll sort everything lol 😂😂
Retroford for zetec matrix
you need a gen rs car
You'll be looking forward to your trip to N.I for a break
I’ll be working hard over there making content mate! 👍 #workworkwork
nice work matey. I prefer the green clocks just like most ford dashes :)
Thanks mate! 👍 I’ll prob go green for the time being because changing the small dials to blue might involve taking them apart. 👍
Have a look at T7 Design, they do a 12v heater blower, which is a neat solution to get rid of the water matrix.
i'll be running a T7 heater in my build. nice compact design and not expensive
I’ll check that out. 👍
Top job once again Marcus
