Thanks, that was concise beautifully read. Nothing to do with anything but the Truman ref reminded me of early cinema goers who were startled when the projection of a train came thundering out of the screen.

Was thinking Greek visual arts were a search for the perfect 'type', universal, aspirational. Today value seems to be centered on the individual. "Perfect as I am" A rudderless ship. Our loss.

Have you ever heard of the late Philosopher and Historian, R.G. Collingwood? If you haven't heard of Collingwood, you would do well to put him on your radar. Especially his, "An Essay on Metaphysics".
I personally believe that the Reformed Metaphysics of Collingwood was the greatest accomplishment in all of Western Philosophy.
Collingwood had a running gun battle with the academia of his day and he stung like a Killer Bee. Collingwood destroyed Ayer and logical positivism which was based on the nonsense of Wittgenstein. They were too foolish to realize they were using Metaphysics in order to destroy metaphysics.
Regardless, Collingwood casts an ironclad net of no escape regardless of subject matter or field of knowledge. The metaphysics of Collingwood is unasailable and the reality of quantum mechanics only reveals how spot on Collingwood actually was. But Collingwood was so hated by his contemporaries that his name was excluded from many of the books. The greatest mistake in all of Western Philosophy was in ignoring Collingwood.

Great content! Id like to offer one opinion, which may be useful, or not. Will explain why.
Your voice, or rather your audio editing, makes it very tiring to actively follow. It is absolutely spot on for listening at a low volume before bed though.
So depending on the intent, it may or may not be useful. Cheers!
PS: Please reconsider disabling downvotes. I believe you know why.

@mfdune , thanks for the feedback! I appreciate your input on the audio editing. I'm not a pro in that department, but I'll definitely explore ways to enhance the listening experience. (maybe from your side try cranking up the volume a notch?) .
Regarding the downvotes, I'm curious to understand your perspective. I value diverse opinions, and disabling downvotes was an attempt to foster open discussion. If you have insights on why having disabling downvotes could be beneficial, !?
      Your feedback matters! Cheers!

It's funny that you find the voice tiring, for me it is one of the most attractive qualities as timbre perfectly complements the philosophical ambiance.

A horrible thought experiment which could never be carried out; therefore the conclusions of which cannot be affirmed. And the Truman Show isn’t entirely analogous to the Allegory.

…and truth is not beyond the confines of this world. That sounds like people saying a bunch of people wanted to overthrow the govt, but mysteriously left their guns at home.
