  • Today we're cooking a tasty lentil dahl on the Trangia stove, all filmed out in the wild woods!
    Ingredients:
    Olive oil
    Onions
    Mustard seeds
    Chili flakes
    Garlic powder
    Lentils (1 tin, in water)
    Tomato puree
    Spinach
    Water

    You shouldn’t use the Trangia screw cap to put out the flame, you’ll melt the o ring. Use the simmer ring instead. Food looks tasty though.

      Yes, good point. I’ve already had to replace the o-ring once! They come in packs of two, so I’m living dangerously!

    Nice, but I winced at you extinguishing the burner with the cap, instead of the simmer ring.

      Yes, rightly so. The rubber o-ring didn’t last long!
