I was playing the video on the tv and when Scout was born, my baby, who hadn't been paying attention until that moment, just was transfixed and staring at the baby in awe! Then she started waving and saying hi! I was shocked since she never usually notices much on the tv and has only said the word "hi" a couple of times. It made me happy that she could see a newborn and maybe begin to comprehend what's coming next in our family. :)

Thank you! Great question - everything went exactly as I hoped and envisioned. I envisioned a peaceful birth in front on our fireplace and Christmas tree. I worked on preparing myself mentally throughout the pregnancy to be able to be mindfully present during the hard labor. Having a midwife team who was supportive and not pushy against my wishes also made everything go as I hoped. They only stepped in when needed and that was what I wanted.
That was amazing, she just came right out! Birth is so different for all of us. Mine have been historically scream-filled, but both of my born children delivered OP. 33 weeks with my third, our adopted embryo, and somehow I always manage to look forward to the birth lol! Congrats to your beautiful family
Thank you! While lengthy, I feel like it made the harder labor easier. Only 15 minutes of pushing, my midwives said I was very in control and took my time which helped keep me more comfortable.

I was definitely tearful to see her coming into this world in such a peaceful manner and I can only hope my little one's welcoming will be the same!
