Thanks so much for the video. We've had a Rainbow for over 25 years and never used the AquaMate. I works perfectly. We never would have figured it out without the video. Thanks again.
I bought my original Rainbow SE in 1995. The plastic pipes for the Aquamate broke so I replaced them with the steel. Bought a new Aquamate for a spare. I fitted a snap on fitting to the hose as the hose fitting it's supplied with doesn't fit any taps or hoses in Australia. I've used my Rainbows for years, and made lots of money. I love it.
Thank you. Great demo. Wish you'd also shown how to clean it when finished. We've used our (same model) aquamate for the first time and can't work out how to clean it at the end.
ua-cam.com/video/RVuHiOZvFgM/v-deo.html If the pickup end is really getting clogged, you're not using it for its intended purpose. Just pickup a bunch of water and it should self clean.
I just got the Minijet for my E2. It's kind of similar to the Aquajet 1, but it's water/shampoo supply is entirely self contained, and there is no rinse mode. It's really good for a quick pickup, though, and just the right size for furniture.
I bought my Rainbow D3C in 1986 with the AquaMate 2. The salesman said to use cold or slightly warm water because hot water could damage the vacuum motor by making the vacuum overheat. I recently bought a second Rainbow (E2 Model 12) and love the new AquaMate. It doesn’t have to be connected to the faucet.
im so so happy i just found out i can fix my rainbow if you rember it was the rainbow that was dead i was told to toss it becuse it was not saveible the metel around the spinner.for 38$ i found a bareing and seal and metal and a plastic holder lol im so happy rn
Great video i love your channel! Ive been using one of these that I bought a few months ago and it works great but it drips around the solution tank. Is this normal?
Those two are very different machines. One extracts water and the other uses a dry foam method for surface cleaning, so they aren't directly comparable.
This is the first info I found on this attachment. I believe I have a D4C SE. The year I found on it says 1986. I've gotten this model from my in-laws who say it was all bought original but the aqua mate does not have a hose to connect to the basin. Is this part missing or would the small non-electric hose some-how connect to the aqua mate?
@@VacLab I think we figured it out. The non-electric hose with the metal extension will come apart then I can plug the aqua mate into it. I'm gonna try it tomorrow. Thank you for your video
How do you remove rust from the motor ? Is not "big" rust... but i just want to put the motor like new and the "light" rust on the motor not look good. Sorry my english.
a craigslist post person brought their's over for sale. I tried both my electrified and non-electrified hoses and could get neither to attach. I remember in your vid you said no electrified hose. I could not get them, either to go over the end of the aquamate that she brought over. what am I missing? a reducer?
the hose is the non electric hose, you can pull it off the metal elbow, sometimes it takes a bit of work but it will come off. the basin, i believe, is empty. if you have some spare hoses then i probably would leave the extra on the aqua mate, that way there isn't so much stress on the rubber hose end if you use it often
Definitely the best video out there for Rainbow AquaMate accessory. This is how it's done. Thank you.
Thanks for your support!
Thank you just bought a used rainbow from 1988 can't wait to try it out
Enjoy!
Thank you! This video was very helpful. I purchased my Rainbow in 1990.
Thanks so much for the video. We've had a Rainbow for over 25 years and never used the AquaMate. I works perfectly. We never would have figured it out without the video. Thanks again.
Glad to be of service. 👍
Beautiful machine! Great video!! I have a Rainbow D3c and I absolutely love it!!

Did you make lots of money selling Rainbows or cleaning with them?
How did you make lots of
Money? Did you go cleaning houses?

Wonderful video!! Thank you so much, can’t wait to use mine this week!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for putting this video out! It was quite helpful.

Kind of a stupid question but do you put any water in the receptacle like you would to vacuum or do you leave that all empty?
If you're picking up water, leave it empty. Otherwise, fill it with 2 quarts.
Add a little fabric softener in the rainbow tank and it will cut the foam
so glad your back uploading seemed like ages waiting for new videos think I'm getting vac obsessed lol
Donna Sutherland welcome to the obsession Donna. 😎
Is there a separate hose for the shampooer? or is it simply a reducer that connects your suction from the power unit to the Aquamate?
scott page it's all one piece, but you can take it apart for servicing.
I had my rainbow 25 years ago and it is still working. I haven’t used the waterjet, so I forgot how to use it. Which nozzle do I use?
Nozzle? Do you mean hose? There is only only 1 nozzle in this video.

No dripping from anywhere is normal.
What works better in your opinion the rainbow aquamate or the kirby shampoo system and are there other vacuums that can become shampooers
Those two are very different machines. One extracts water and the other uses a dry foam method for surface cleaning, so they aren't directly comparable.
Can i use this Aquamate with my E2 black?
Not really. The hose connection won't fit well.
I think this is a carpet nozzle. Do you have the furniture or the smaller nozzle?
This is the only nozzle for the original AquaMate. There is no other AquaMate 1 nozzle.
can you send me an amazon link to the attachement that makes it fit a water hose connection
Find it at your local hardware store.
How did you connect the Aqua Mate to the sink? Is there a connector?
Its an adaptor available at hardware stores.

If the hose is missing, you can't use the AquaMate. It is a special hose just for that accessory.
@@VacLab I think we figured it out. The non-electric hose with the metal extension will come apart then I can plug the aqua mate into it. I'm gonna try it tomorrow. Thank you for your video
Did you ever figure it out? My rainbow non electric won't fit it
Question, how do you get your old school aquamate on the faucet I can’t get mine on
If you put a little water in the basin I have found out the one time I used this system it helps with the amount of foam
It's about time you make an appearance lol, love the video.
Thanks! But it's far from my first time in front of the camera. It has been a while though...
VacLab if you can make the time, let's see you actually use to clean some carpet like you did with you ultra mega water video.
How do you remove rust from the motor ?
Is not "big" rust... but i just want to put the motor like new and the "light" rust on the motor not look good.
Sorry my english.
Sometimes, I use a soft wire brush but there are many methods to remove rust.
I bought an e series at goodwill and it came with this will it work
Nope. Wrong connector.

scott page it's a special hose just for the aquamate, non-electrified of course.
getting ready to throw out our old one that we no longer use
Would you be able to use this on carpets when there is hard wood floors underneath?
Yes, as it normally doesn't put much water down anyhow...unless you force it.
Can you only pull it, or is it easy to push on the carpet?
nevermind. You just answered my question! :)
Rusty Andres yeah, on medium pile carpet, pushing is pretty much out of the question. 😞
Do you have any of those hoses for the aquamate for sale? and is the basin empty before starting washing and then rinsing. None on ebay have the hose?
the hose is the non electric hose, you can pull it off the metal elbow, sometimes it takes a bit of work but it will come off. the basin, i believe, is empty. if you have some spare hoses then i probably would leave the extra on the aqua mate, that way there isn't so much stress on the rubber hose end if you use it often
Is the aquamate hose different from my existing hose of my D4c?
Yes, it is a special hose attached to the wand.
I’ve got the aquamate 1 for my Rainbow D4 Se and My E Series
Nice!
I have one of yhese but I don’t have the fauset attachment can you link an image of the attachment please
The faucet fitting is shown at 3:30 and is natively on the end if the 50ft hose. Did you mean some other adapter?
I would have cut down a wand to make a short wand and then attached Bissell extractor attachments to do this job...
I did this and it worked very well!
Please make a video for using
Aquamate II ! I don’t find anything about it!
I don't have an Aquamate II.
my mom has had a rainbow for years
I use Challenge Chemicals Extractor in my Aquamate. It's simply the best. I use the Challenge Chemicals defoamer in my bowl.
Ilove you somuch miss
