Bought my first Rainbow vacuum in 2023, though we had them in our family since the late 70's when I was a little kid. From my experience I knew these vacuums are extremely effective in capturing dirt and dust. After three months using my new Rainbow SRX, I no longer fall asleep at night clearing my throat. My doctor said I had a bad case of post nasal drip. I'm pretty sure now it was primarily issues with dust mites. The little rainmate air purifier is also very good in capturing airborne dust and dirt. When I was a kid, (pre-rainmate), my favorite scent was pine, but in all fairness, that may have been the only scent Rainbow offered in 1977. We'd put the scent in the water for the vacuum to disperse it. Now we've got the little rainmate as well as the vacuum. I purchased about all the different scents that are offered and have been trying various ones over the last several weeks now. I do still love the pine, but tried the eucalyptus is also very nice. One of the really awesome scents IMO is the Gardenia. Very nice.
I bought a number of extras such as belts, Hepa filter, 5 different collections of fragrance, the rainmate and the Rainbow SRX with powerhead. All with tax, (title & license) $4,300. On average I vacuum my home 5 nights out of seven day week and have been doing so now for the past 5 months. The Rainbow has been working flawlessly along with the rainmate. Almost out of fragrances so I'm going to have to buy a bunch more of the ones I really like. Pine, Sun & Sand and Gardinia are a few of my absolute favorites that I will be buying more of in the very near future.
I just purchased my 2nd Rainbow vacuum cleaner a 2023 model! Since I have used a Rainbow my allergies have dramatically improved! And cleans better than you can imagine. Well worth the money.
We found only 2 older rainbow vacuums at 2 moving sales in the 35+ years going to moving sales , was wondering what the low speed switch was for, now I know, LOVE the vacuums!! Like the newer model better tho = easier Access to water reservoir ...Air is cleaner after vacuuming unlike regular vacs!
Awesome demonstration. I have owned two rainbows over the years. My husband gave them away when we got a central house vacuum. Nothing cleaned like the Rainbow. I am thinking about purchasing another one.
Central Vacs are the most powerful vacuums you can own, but Rainbows are still pretty decent. This SRX Model featured in the video, however, is a step back in performance from previous models.
I have used rainbow vacuums for 50 years and I wouldn’t use anything else. And that’s no scam I have bought one for both my children and my grand son. 1:25:08
Bought mine in 1993 .still works! I sold those machines for 4 years after made a ton of m9ney and had a blast.. you get what you pay for. Not a rip off 14:32
My family had one. When I was younger. And I remember I used to use it. As a part of doing chores. I love the newer ones. Hopefully I can get one soon for my family. And. Wow. I would love to do the program.
I dealt with Rainbow vacuum a very long time ago in 1977, I fell for it because I was young and stupid trying to support a friend that was working for them at the time. They were overpriced then and I guess that still are. Back in the day They had these high pressured demonstrations based on a pyramid marketing and sales system. I also suspect they still do that too. It is sad because just last week I purchased a new Frigidaire stainless steel gas stove, a hood, a refrigerator, a dishwasher and full installation for under the price of one Rainbow vacuum cleaner. What a rip-off.
The rainbow is a great machine but the water infact and has been proven to not catch everything. Even rainbow admits this. They call it “non wettable dust/particulates.) this is why every rainbow vacuum since 1998 has had a large HEPA filter installed on the vacuums exhaust. Now while the water does catch most everything, the hepa filter does the rest. This is why they can call it an air purifier. It even after a year or two the hepa filter will need to be replaced as it’s made of very dense fibers and will clog with the find dust and particulates. Rainbow did have a hepa filter that was washable, or should I say rinsable. This was a bad idea as moisture allowed bacteria to grow this causing poor filtration and terrible must moldy odors to emit from the exhaust. So rainbow users please replace your hepa filters every year or two to maintain peak performance of the machine and the best possible air quality.
Interesting about the rinsable/washable HEPA filter idea. Did Rainbow advise owners that they need to make sure it's thoroughly dried inside and out before reinstalling it back into the machine? On the Bissell's I used in the past, they have a sponge-like filter which I used to wash with hot water and dish soap after every month or so of usage. The dust/dirt, which as most likely dust mites and their waste particles, made the cleaning water black each time I cleaned it. I would not reinstall it back into the vacuum until it was thoroughly dried through and through.
Imagine ripping ppl off like this and still being able to sleep at night. Had a demo at my house a few days ago to help a friend and it was a joke. The girl done her best but them trying to sell a 50$ machine for 4000 is hilarious to me. I feel for ppl who actually get scammed by this gimmick
Not really a scam. The new machine is around 3 grand and they can be talked down a good bit. However even at three grand if you divide that by 15 year it comes to 200 bucks a year. Most people (especially those with pets, rough kids, and rough housekeepers) will go through a vacuum a year. Average price of a mediocre vacuum (aka: shark, dyson, Hoover) is around 179 to 250. Plus rainbows can be maintained easily and last even years beyond that. So three grand is an investment which is how this type of purchase should be seen. Most people who actually have the money to afford purchases like this know the difference in quality and reliability and they see the value in that. It’s those who can’t afford it that do the most complaint and shit talking. You’re into firearms so I’m sure you have some nice brand name fire arms. What if someone told you that your favorite gun manufacture scammed you out of 1500 bucks and then said someone like fisher price or for 50 bucks was the same quality as the 1500 dollar one? What would you say the ?
@Garrett Dodson so.....I can look at an item and make a educated assumption on its cost to manufacturer and roughly a fair price for it. I own a business as well so this is part of my daily activities. That being said the machine I was shown is in no way a 3k machine. And whoever buys a vac that often as u stated is crazy!!! I have had my vac for 10 years because I maintain it with new filters and a belt when it's needed. In those 10 years I have maybe spent 100 bucks on filters and belts. The rainbow is a scam because of the lies they tell when trying to sell it and the horrible payment situation they try to push ppl into. Anyone can research and see that there are machines that do the exact same for a fraction of the cost. Also the way rainbow tries to recruit EVERYONE is also misleading and scammy. They lie about making large commission on sales when it's them who make the money not the salesmen unless your a 1% salesman and sell multiple machines a day. The srx machine I was shown was not impressive at all! It may be labeled a air purifier bit it's marketed as a do all machine. It's vacuuming head is weak and it's shampoo head is a pure joke. I laid floors for years and I have a unique understanding of carpets and hardwoods. I could go on and on about the misleading tactics used by rainbow salesman but I will stop. So far the only ppl who praise them and the poor souls who got ripped on a 3k machine from a pushy salesman
@@NCshooter1213 What make & model vac do you have where you can still get belts, filters, hepa filter, rollers, etc. replacements after 2 - 3 years of purchase? I've never had good luck with that on the Bissell uprights I was slamming around the house over the past 2 decades. It's like after 2 years, they discontinue the model, along with all of the spare parts, and redesign a newer version for the market.
@@garrettdodson6110 Plus Rainbow's come with an attractive warranty. One year for the power head and 10 years for the motor in the main unit. Biggest difference I've seen thus far comparing the 20 years I spent using a Bissell upright and the last 3 months using my new Rainbow SRX is, after vacuuming with the Bissell, newly dusted surfaces around the house would now have a visible new blanket of dust on it, whereas right after vacuuming with the Rainbow, recently dusted surfaces would still be clean without any new dust. Obviously the Bissell wasn't capturing even half of the fine particles of dust compared to the Rainbow SRX. On average, I can now go a full week before visible dust buildup starts to appear on various surfaces around the house, whereas before using the Bissell, I'd have to dust right after vacuuming every time. It's also important to note that the environment I'm using the Bissell and Rainbow SRX is carpet only, no tile or hardwood environment.
