- How to set up your Inkbird ITC-1000 F to work properly for incubator use. In this video I briefly show what settings need to be changed to use your Inkbird ITC-1000F as an incubator temperature regulator.

At 2:44 I said the difference set value should be at 98 degrees, the value is actually "1". That value will turn the incubator on when the temperature drops to 98 degrees.
I just want to say don't forget to hit the power button after doing the settings to save them. I finally got it right .

Also, if u accidentally change the F & C it will go back to default on all...u gotta change it again..

Hi, just a quick question. Will the incubator rise above 99 ? I was thinking about hooking up a extra fan to the cooling side. That way if the temperature gets to hot, the fan should kick in and cool it off.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

im curious, did you just wire this into a wall outlet or a battery? also whats the amp, volt, and wattage of those bulbs? trying to build a humidor with peltier modules.
Hello do your fans have to run on all the time or can be controlled by a module to activate when the ligths shut off fans come on and so on I have the xm -18 thermostat on mine
it has two switches one for heating and one for cooling, so what turns them off and on with only one temp setting?

If you used the 3 birds per square foot rule you could get 300, but I would cut those figures in half or more. Good luck in you quail adventures.

Thanks for the short precise video. BTW you have connected the the light bulb to heat terminals, right? I have set tye temperature to 99 with 1 degree as yiu have suggested. The light turns on only when it drops to 98. Is that the way it supposed to work. My compressor delay is set 0 as well

Yes, those settings are correct. The lights should turn on at 98, off at 99 and the residual heat from the bulbs will bring the temp up to 97 - 99 degrees.
@@CoturnixCorner Thanks. Shouldn't be the hatching temperature between 99 to 100? I kept a small themometer inside and it read 97 all the time. Changed the settings on ITC to 100 . Now the inside temp stays at 99 on the small thermometer. Thanks again for your video.
@@paulaji99 Yes, 99 - 100 is optimal. And yes, changing the temperature to 100 is sometime needed depending on the external temps. My daily outdoor temps average in the 90's most of the time and if I set it to 100 in the inkbird it will average 101 inside the incubator, Everyone who builds this incubator should experiment with temp settings prior to incubating eggs. It seems the compressor delay is only for the cold relay as heaters don’t have compressors, I have it set to 10 because I didn’t like hearing the cold relay kick on each cycle and lights still turn on right when it hits 98
Help! I’m on my fourth thermostat and they keep going out of temperature, like148*. What’s the issue?
What guage of wire are you using for you connections?

between 37 and 38°C (typically 37.5-37.8°C) that's 99°F to 100°F so shouldn't it turn off at 100 and on at 99? Incubation temperature ranging between 37 and 38°C (typically 37.5-37.8°C) optimizes hatchability.

Yes, it has both fahrenheit and celsius.

Do I have a defected heat element? I set the ds value to 1 and it keeps defaulting back to 3..... any reasons why it refuses to keep my value of 1?
You have to save it before exiting the menu.
@@CoturnixCorner finally figured that out the next day. Its all good now. The 24th they go into lockdown.
Q, My temperature controller is showing Er no matter what I do
I've got an ITC-1000F 12v which is showing the temp in negative value all the time. At first i thought the sensor was bad but connected an other one and still the same. anyone know what's going on?

Do quail like to be Held or pet much?
It differs, if you have them in a minor number and work to get them tame they can be quite friendly. In my little flock I have a couple that comes towards me and actually likes to be picked up and be held for a while. Try to bribe them with snacks as mealworms etc would help. Good luck!

How to set it to Fahrentheit I set it to cf then press up arrow to F it blinks then goes back to the temperature in C
Once you set it to Fahrenheit you have to press the Set button and then exit.

Terry I have a question
I built incubators identical to yours and have been successful with 2 hatches already.
Yesterday I ran into a issue chicks were hatching as normal came back in a couple hours looked in the window and noticed all the chicks in the top rack were dead! Was trying to figure out why and noticed that the temp was at 130.
Had to pull hatched chicks from the bottom rack reset the ink bird and everything seemed normal checked this morning and everything was fine pulled chicks and when I just came home lost everything again temp was at 125.
Is it a possibility that the controller is no good now??

What do the other controls mean CA or CF
Some of it looks like Greek to me - I'll have to study it all and experiment so I can understand it all.
CF just changes it from Fahrenheit to Celsius, and CA is to calibrate the sensor. Put a thermometer you trust by the sensor and if it disagrees with the Inkbird, then set the difference in the CA value to compensate

Absolutely, a lot of people keep coturnix quail as pets. You just need to spend some time with them to tame them.
