Indeed. Early this year I got a pair of Reebok Classic Leather 40th anniversary edition for £30 + £4 delivery, full price £100. Excellent quality soft leather, far superior to £100+ Nikes.
100 or less, not cheapest. The brands have even lower stuff. They pretty much fall apart after a few weeks, but they can be found for 40-50 and during sales for even less Also, in the Netherlands its not the Samba that's popular. Its the fat Campus. Everybody is wearing those here.
@@JCetty I agree, in my opinion they look better AND with the insane amount of colorways, people are wearing the same model but I see so many different colors. This is nicer to see than the white AF1 trend we had last year. Love some white AF1 but not if everyone and their mom are wearing the exact same shoe
You should have added Reebok Classic Leather or Nylon. Those are also cheap and super nice looking, plus decent quality and comfort. What they aren't, is trendy right now.
The title is kinda misleading. There are PLENTY of shoes from Nike and Adidas that are way cheaper than the sneakers mentioned here. They are not on trend, but if you wanna be accurate just say "Best sneakers under $100 from each brand".
I got the Asics Gel-1130 in Slate Grey, and they are part of one of my cleanest fits. I love them. I generally prefer their GT series for being on foot all day, but for some social outings and dates where I might be walking around a bit, these are well-appreciated.
The Puma Palermo remind me of a margiela sneaker. I've been debating getting a few pairs of Asics for a while now. You are right, the site sells out very quickly on popular styles. I believe the absolute most comfortable are the NB.
the SB grant taylor blazer lows are ALWAYS on sale at skate shops/websites. Great pair of beaters with different colors and they feel way better than the regular blazers.
I think you needed to add the caveat that the shoes had to he sneakerhead recognized, because Nike Court Legacy and Adidas Advancourt are generic, yes, but sell for $50 or less.
For me I’m gonna always go for the Blazer, I legit love the Blazer. A 77 mid. Drips with retro style, goes with anything. The shape and the upper really agrees with me as well. Most probably won’t share my take because for me the upper is the main contributor to my comfort, rather than the sole and cushion. The Blazer is definitely low to the ground but the fit is just too good.
Damn kind of surprised u didn't go with the NB480 skate model for the under $100 NB choice they seem to be the best to me. The leather is pretty good sometimes premium and even the collabs are $100 sometimes Like the "Andrew Reynolds" NB480 that came out today. The upper was redone for skating. So, they're a pretty comfortable shoe and basically looks like a dunk.
Back when they were releasing them I got the puma ralph sampson on sale for 55$. Theyre easily the best brand in terms of quality per dollar. They don't charge an arm and a leg for a basic shoe *cough * nike cough.
For Adidas I would recommend OWNTHEGAME 2.0 and Hoop 3.0 mid/low. Both are way cheaper than the sambas but also way more comfortable for daily use, especially the OWNTHEGAME
I don’t think that sneakers are all that expensive right now. I just pickup whatever’s on sale. I just bought Adidas Dame 8 EXTPLY for 60€. These are like professional basketball shoes for 60€. That’s insane. And what about the Puma RS-X line? They come in a million different colours. I am sure you can find a pair for 60€ or $60. In truth, I wouldn’t pay a dime more. The quality is nothing to write home about. They’re like Nike Monarchs but more stylish.
@@JoshDominic I’m a fan of British Terrace fashion from the 80s and as a result have spoken with people from that era and have been told by a few that if you went to a pub and saw someone with Black Sambas on, especially if they weren’t meticulously clean, that was the person most likely to pick a random fight with you and beat your ass for the lightest reason.
I do agree on the two choices. However unless you're trying to shorten your video, it does feel you miss a lot of cheaper choices: Nike Court Legacy, the New Balance 608, the Puma Suede, which I think is more comfortable than the Palermo and Samba, probably the most iconic Puma; the Adidas VL Court; Adidas Stan Smith; Reebok Center Court; the New Balance 480: the Vans Old, New Skul and Hi Sk8. In fact, I see more Vans than anything in my area.
In 2016/18 we could buy pretty much every major brand entry classic for less than 80, in 2024 they require more than 120 for shty plastic materials. Go fk themselves, now i go for some alternatives if i want more classic models or i just wait for the sales + discount promo code. 😅
Even I, who had Cortez in my youth, think that have aged bad. And the dad shoes are ugly (I should use them now, but I refuse). So Sambas or Puma, maybe.
Personally, starting hating Sambas for their long toe area, because I don’t feel it and often find myself tripping over the steps as I climb the stairs, or scrapping the toes of my sneakers against the tiles outside. It makes all my other pairs feel much more comfortable even Jordans, and although they have as non-cushiony midsole as sambas, they have better insoles, so, for me Sambas are most uncomfortable sneakers.
How did you mention the Nike Air Monarch but completely skip the OG New Balance 608 that retails at $80 but can be found sitting at $65 frequently? There are people who wears these until they are so beaten they are relegated to chore shoes (cutting grass and such) and just but a new pair to daily wear ending up with multiple pairs in different stages of wear. There are even memes about which dad shoe you rock (and subsequently the kinda dad you are) regarding Air Monarchs vs 608s, pretty sure there are videos on UA-cam, too.
You can get 2002r's for under $100, which arguably beats all of these shoes for versatility and comfort. But I also get that it's under retail at that price :/
100 usd is no way near affordable, with 100 like you said you can get sambas for example or the puma palermo both are very good quality compared to a lot the competition. 25 or maybe max 50 usd would have been cool.
It seems by the thumbnail that the only shoe brands that understand that human feet aren't symmetrical are new balance and asics And solely off of that I'd give new balance and asics the "anthropology design award"
But I’ve done research and I’m from Uk l, but you can get adidas pure boast for £50 dollars and feel better and look better and not going with what everyone else says

Nike cortez costs 120 dollars in my country, it's half of an average monthly wage... It scares me how powerless brazilians are in terms of purchases...
Not true at all man, look at popular celebrities nowadays like Jeremy Allen White, he wears Cortez everyday. Also they are still popular in the west coast
@@JoshDominicLemme guess: you’d say sketchers are out of style, however, they are super popular somewhere in the world. Does that change anything ? No. Popular doesn’t make it stylish. Reebok is steal deal
Club c is a great option $100 or less

If Reebok's Club Cs or Classic Leather enters the frame, all other brands are obsolete

💯 Josh ASICS 1130 & NB574 for the win!
I used to rock the black Cortez in 2011-2012 era. I loved them. I might need to buy them again for nostalgia purposes.
Another banger, great comparisons. Now do the MOST EXPENSIVE FROM EVERY BRAND.
Wedding be damned hahaha
basically only running shoes then

Calling Nike Cortez cheap is crazy! loved the video Josh
I mean it’s less than $100 which is cheap for Nike
Do more puma sneaker reviews
the 1130 is my go to now, cant beat them in term of comfort and price
Best value for money imo
Great list for back to school man
Most definitely

Out of these, definitely for me the ASICS is the most comfy. Palermo probably the best versatile option though
Puma it's totally underated, they have different great designs, maybe not for everyone, at least with good low prices, but Bang Buck Asics always wins
I snagged my first pair of 1130’s about a month ago and totally agree with your assessment. You can easily wear them all day without any issues
The Nike Air Max SC can be bought for under a 100 dollars as well. Those are pretty great too if you want that tech for lower price.
Great video! Asics 1130 rocks, but missed Reebok's.
confort is so subjective... i wear sambas for hours on end, but 574s annoy me after more than 2-3hrs...
Every last pair listed here is right on point!!
Great idea for a vid. You presented it well! Thinking about trying a pair of ASICS someday too. My dad loves his pair.

Air Force 1’s cost closer to 145$ here in Denmark. Insane prices.
I have 1130. The best. Simply comfortable and has good grip and support. Buy it.
i would suggest putting memory foam inserts in the Adidas.
I have wide and flat feet .
