Hello, I just purchased one of the iron molds off ebay and it is a bit rusty.. How would I go about cleaning and keeping it from rusting?

Soak it in a mixture of 1 part white vinegar and 1 part distilled water but not too long about 1 hour, then in baking soda and water too neutralize the viniger. Thanks for Watching
