Daymond to give the offer to another shark actually shows his respect for his fellow sharks. That's a big move and to do that just shows what a class act he is.
Mark was right about the first one and according sharktankrecap, he backed out from the deal with Lori right after the camera stopped rolling. He was just there for a free commercial.
I know what mark means with that last one. In essence they gave Lori 9% of their company for a two years $600k loan. They got a partner along the way but they basically gave up equity for a loan. Similar to a record deal honestly. Barbs on the other hand was half loan half straight cash. They were too fixated on the valuation. Mark is right. The last couple didn't realize the difference between those offers. Barbara settled at 10%, which is 1% more than Lori. However Lori will charge them 600k in 2 years. Essentially they refused to sell 1% for 600k, which is a valuation for 60M.
@@franklinegbuche7097 Alan is correct. let's putting it another way. Lori invest 600k for 10%, and after 2 years, the couple give her 600k for 1% so Lori own 9%. it is not exactly how the deal was done, but this sounds clearer. the couple made a dumb move
Perhaps, but I think they much preferred working with Lori than Barbara, and the 1% equity negotiation was only to maximize their deal with Lori. Mark's point assumes the sharks bring equal value in + Barbara wasn't offering the full 600k as she would still be charging 300k + interest. @@calvintong5036 I get what you’re thinking, however the way is completely wrong. Also Alan was wrong, they did not “refuse to sell 1% for 600k”?? The valuation was 10% for 600k from the original offers, meaning a valuation of 6,000,000 not 60,000,000.

Mark's right for the last one; they didn't get it. It was basically an interest free 2 year loan for 9% equity in a company with $5m+ in annual revenues. Without looking it up, I bet when they get home they will realise it's a bad deal for them, and pull out, or not agree to the payback clause. That kind of (payback) deal is worth maybe 4% equity with a shark, and maybe 3% for a venture capitalist. A loan would normally get circa 10% pa interest, at $600k = $30k approx. So in effect Lori's paid $30k for a 9% equity stake......she's one very smart woman. The only consideration is the high level of risk associated for a company with such a high number of skews.......They really need to find a way to cut 80% of their skews, or at least 80% of the need to carry the stock. Otherwise the company is going to suck money in, quicker than they can raise it.

When Kevin agrees with you it makes you think did I do a Kevin deal
Good show 👍
I hate the pressure thing. They are there to pitch to FIVE people. Even if you do not respect the entrepreneur, at least respect the people sitting next to you.
nobody has ever wiped Mark like this!! ever..."oh I m a gold digger ,, I m an entrepreneur "
I really love Lori and how she can stand up for herself no matter what, but what really demonstrates how hard it is for a woman to be in business is the fact that she made a deal with the first guy. He's greedy, shady and misogynistic with that nasty joke about women and how they can't shut up for half an hour. And Lori was obviously put off by this stupid comment, but she had to suck it up because she saw something in his product. You have to be tough to be successful as a woman in men's world, unfortunately, but I admire her ability to navigate through all that.
😂😂😂 jokes bro chill
She’s so stunning and brave for listening to a 2 second joke.
😂
Imagine what the wife goes through daily.
Agreed. Too bad the incels can’t see that.
It’s really not that deep or hard to get over a small joke 😂 I’m a woman too
Who needs 11 pieces of luggage in their closed? Only if you’re hiding classified documents.😂
Families.
I LOVE the folding suitcase. My luggage takes up so much space even though some nest.
I feel like the Biaggi luggage just needed to come in a cardboard box that shows a graphic of the luggage folding up.
Rosetti is actually a good handbag
