If you ask me, both offers were bad. He should have gone for more cash for the 10 percent, say 1 million to skip an extra funding round. Launching a food product in retail space is insanely expensive.

I would like to see Mark let other sharks in on deals with him to round and broaden their exposure as well. For instance a lot of times we may hear Barbara, Damon or Robert indicate that they are not familiar with a space and they bow out. It’d be nice if they got into areas they are not as familiar with by partnering with Lori, Kevin or Mark on more deals.

Their issues were solely shipping related. They were extremely competent entrepreneurs and business women who knew the field. Every Shark can help with shipping and shes got a huge brand too. So if the project runs for 2 years, 15 researchers would work on it full time. Probably one of the ideas she got, while working on this project, was to use the protein for food purposes.
