This is a Canadian band that was huge in the 1970s and '80s. In fact, for a time they lived in my home town of Montreal. The lead singer, Myles Goodwin, just passed away. I got the chance to interview him, which was really cool. He wrote most of their hits, and they had a bunch of hits.
From my home province of Nova Scotia, a great live band with quit a few hits, lead singer Myles Goodwyn died last year, but a good band to get into, songs like I Like To Rock, live from a MTV concert is amazing with a drum solo that is kick ass, rock on guys
They were so freaking good life! One of the first concerts I ever went to Texxas jam. I believe it was 1980. One of those bands that is much better live.
April Wine is another excellent Canadian band! ❤❤❤ That solo is like a waterfall of sound! Could of been a lady Sign of the Gypsy Queen I like to rock ( the music video for this song was filmed at Le Studio in Quebec. The same place where Rush recorded and did some videos as well). Cheers 🇨🇦
Would also suggest you try another great Canadian band from this era …. Triumph “Magic Power” or “Lay it on the Line” I would suggest live from US Festival in San Bernardino, California on May 29, 1983 as it really shows how amazing this 3 piece band was live
April Wine was a THREE GUITARIST BAND which wasn’t normal by any means . Lynyrd Skynyrd and a few others were. It really is awesome when they have that, but then there are several bands with just ONE guitarist that amazingly pull it off.
Now the mystery song that hardly now one here has heard of because they all are too young or have been or are being distracted. ALL TRUE. LISTEN TO JOURNEY SUZANNE and you will not be able to stop guaranteed. Then listen to it at night before going to bed. It was a song practically hidden from the world but is a masterpiece in the album. I REPEAT DO NOT LISTEN TO IT LIVE. Listen to the original song from the album youtube has the song from the, "Raised on Radio" album. Then be blown away by the range of Steve Perry's voice and the crying guitar of Neal Schon. ALL TRUE. And as a special PRECIOUS GIFT go see Jonathan Kleck youtube channel, the Angel of the Church of Philadelphia mentioned in Revelation 3:7 that the Apostle John wrote about. ALL 100% TRUE.
Bunch of great tunes, More April Wine!!!!!
