There's a lot of bad basketball advice out there, and while most of it comes from people with good intentions, the problem with a lot of it is that it lacks context or details. In this video I cover some of the worst basketball advice you can get when context and details are missing.
This is important to understand, so you're not looking at things being right or wrong that aren't. They just might be right or wrong for more situations. One bad piece of advice by my coach was that i shouldn't do my reverse layup the wzy I did them : if I was going to the right side, I would take 2 steps and switch hands so I was jumping with the right foot laying the ball with the right hand on the right side, even though I would practice finishing with the left also. And another thing when I was practicing one footed jumpshot like Jamal Crawford he would say that it was a bad way to shoot
