I don't expect to just pay the 49$ and that's it forever, but this is NOT the way to go. The problem with the update battle pass... if you EVER STOP paying, you have to uninstall then re install 2.0. THEN fix update 2.0 to 2.0.28 (or whatever bug fix version is available) and reinstall all brushes window, workspace and settings. THAT IS REDICULOUS!!! I'm fine with them wanting more money, fine.... release updated versions every year. It was 10 years this time. I don't expect indefinite updates. I am NOT willing to go through all that to cancel the updates I PAID for. More than that if you need a flow chart, you are doing it wrong. Release a new version yearly, FINE. ANY updates for the year I paid for are mine to keep. At least this way I CAN DECIDE if the updates are worth it. I get all updates up to the year I purchased plus what updates come from that year. I get free bug fixes for the following year..... DONE! If they raise the price, time lines might need to change. The point is I'm not paying indefinitely for hypothetically maybe decent updates. CSP needs to earn it. Otherwise u just quit buying their software. They have WAY too much competition to pull that shit. I have 9 on my PC right now. Krita is free and EVERY BIT as good as CSP. There is just a learning curve for switching all the Keyboard shortcuts to the photoshop standards that CSP had. Then there is another program, its only 30$ per year and is considered by almost everyone to be the leader in this industry. In case you are wondering that would be Corel Painter with the YEARLY Humble Bundle sale of 30$. Usually September is when it starts. It usually lasts one month. If my the new version has great new updates, I get it. That alone makes this model crap.
