How to Get Your Webcomic Done!

I am a chronic procrastinator. Time blindness, laziness, whatever the case I always find myself waiting till the last possible moment to get something done. In this video I go over 3 things that I think contribute to procrastination and in the end I give my solution to it.

If anybody was wondering about what to do list app I use, I just use the microsoft to do list. I searched far and wide for the perfect app, but it doesn't exist. LOL So the microsoft to do app is just good enough. It's got different folders to have different to do lists which I really enjoy because I have to do lists that are for different lengths of time and lists for different categories.
Also, best way to do a daily to do list in my opinion is:
1.) At the start of your day write down everything on the top of your head, things that need to be done that day.
2.) Organize it from most important to least important.
3.) Go down the to do list one by one (if you end up not feeling like you don't want to do some of them it's fine to skip it and save it for later).
4.) Once you've completed your list, you are free to do whatever you want.
5.) If by the end of the day you did not finish your list, take whatever tasks are leftover and that will be the top of your list for tomorrow.

Rising Stars of Manga Vol. 3. I had learned about it like two months before the deadline, and I had already decided on my entry. Two weeks before the deadline, I threw out everything I had up to that point in favor of a completely different story in which I was doing by the seat of my pants to the point I called off from work in order to start and finish inking all 20 page -- scratch that, 16 pages because I didn't have enough time to get all 20 done within 26 hours of Mountain Dew fueled artwork before getting the final package down to the post office and postmarked for the deadline.

good video! i'm currently working on a comic right now, and the thought of procrastination has definetely started to be a concern, even when most of it's because i am working on many other things at once. this video has some really good timing, because it was posted right at the beginning of winter break, and now i have a lot more time. keeping these tips in mind will help me not procrastinate as much, and actually get stuff done! thanks mikan!

Hi Mikan, thanks for posting new video! I watched almost your vids and specialy the precious video because as an artist who made thousand of comic pages but most of my comic projects are in process or never touch again, that video really show my issues in creating comic : my bad writting, idea, not know how to end the story.... I also have a fanart comic project started from 2019 , after created many many many storyboards i still not make any finished page and i almost want to give up :( Hopefully in the future and i finish this comic really quick despite how bad it would be

I'm a freelance illustrator. All other projects like this channel, my manga projects, etc are all done in my free time.
