I had acquired a female Borzoi. I had a 2 y.o. little girl. One day my 2 y.o. fell over the dogs front legs.. she was lying on her belly, legs stretched out to the front. Well, the Borzoi wasn't happy about it. And she somehow took her face in her mouth. She didn't hurt her and I don't think she had intentions to. So I I know we can't totally count on them always being forgiving and gentle.. I think at heart they do not try to hurt a baby or child.
I’d be interested in an episode discussing any specialized dietary needs of borzois. I think you’ve mentioned feeding a raw diet before, so I’m curious how you decided to do that and how you picked the particular diet.
Came for dancing dogs and mantis sticks, left with reasonable advice on baby beds and behavioral change in a dog post partem😂 My wife is expecting and we have a golden so very interesting

@@esperborzoi just found your channel last week. I love your videos, my favorite are when you use the Russian accent and call your dog's little Russian lady it makes me so happy. I started calling my girls little Scottish lady (shelties). Can't do the Scottish accent though. I've gotten a crash course this past week in a lot of your videos and I was so sad to hear Esper died. Just lost my border collie 2 months ago and your videos have made me very happy. Congratulations on your son and yes you're absolutely correct about never waking a sleeping baby.
My sister-in-law was under the same impression about "introducing good bacteria to the baby" when they had my niece almost a year ago... up until during one of her check-ups, the pediatrician told them that my niece was allergic to their German Shepherd/Husky mix! 😂 So probably be on the lookout for that too! It's not a guarantee of course, more to do with the luck of genetics, but unfortunately my niece inherited my weird allergies! (Dog dander is not too bad, but I am very allergic to cat dander - itchy, red watery eyes, runny nose, and my throat swells shut so I can't swallow!) I will say, though, that their German Shepherd/Husky mix Nala is very protective of my niece! She still is, although my niece will be turning 1 on August 10th, so the last several months, she's at the stage where she's learning to be gentle and she's yanking out fistfuls of dog hair. We (myself, and parents) try to offer Nala a little vacation from the baby when we can, however with my mother's health not being great and myself being assigned her caregiver, we haven't been able to have Nala over for some months now. Luckily Nala has been patient with my niece, and my niece is picking up on being gentle with the doggie, so it's getting better. When my niece was just three months old and we'd babysit her and Nala, anytime my niece began crying, Nala would go apeshit and start barking at us like she was ordering us to tend to the baby! 😂 And with my niece learning more words, she can say "Na-La" and "DoG-gie" and will begin smiling and laughing like crazy! It's so precious! 😊
We just got a 5m old Borzoi and she's not particularly trained well. Have you ever had to teach them the difference between dogs and children off leash? Also, why does she get really excited when i say doot-doot--doot--doot in a high pitched voice?
I’m assuming “JUST” is within a couple weeks, give them time to adjust to you first (maybe 4 weeks - 3 months) once they’re trusting you and used to their situation they tend to change a lot
Licking a kid ain’t so bad it’s stealing your steak off the kitchen table or your dish. I had my German steal a large pizza that had two missing slices from the middle of the dinning table. There was no saving it since it landed upside down. The baby now isn’t yours or your wife it’s hers.
I would love to see an interview with your parents about what it was like owning Borzois and Irish Deerhounds
You’re a damn mind reader - the new series is going to be interviewing people about specific breeds and what it’s like to have them
Looking forward to it 😄
I understand how hard it would be to stop a dog from licking your kid when it can lick from a room away.
I have never seen a dog so relaxed on a couch as your dogs!
Typical sight hound. Have had Afghans and salukis.

Regarding the SNOO bassinet, they are super expensive to buy but you can RENT them (only need it for like 6mos)

Great video. Congrats to you & Tina again on the new member of the family. Glad your dogs love Locke so much.
Bet you didn't expect that the greatest problem with having a newborn child and dogs will be licking lol. Hope all will stay this way, safe and goofy
There was other problems, but I’ll keep the burden since they weren’t dog related lol
Great video!
Always a pleasure watching silly videos of your zoi's.
I think you’re my favourite UA-camr

Please talk about the secret snooter language and how to make the goats sing.
Is it true that Borzois are also known as 'noodle horses'?
Mantis Manor isn't educational?!
Some is
I don't plan to get one, but how expensive are borzois to own? (a general estimate based on grooming costs, health, things of that sort)
Do borzois get along with rough collies?
I know that's where the rough collie gets its beautiful snout.
I bet that would be a really fun combination
How did you introduce you new dog to the older dog when you brought new dog home?
I'm getting a borzoi puppy in June! What are some tips for a first time borzoi owner?
