I have been waiting so long for the PMDG 777 and the TFDi MD-11 to make it to MSFS. I flew the PMDG 777 a lor on P3D, and I am part of the TFDi Quality Assurance team, so my dreams are coming true! Both of these airplanes are incredible, and both are "buy now" add-ons in my opinion.
I went over to P3D for the PMDG 777 as I was a real 777 Captain, and flying several aircraft on MSFS was affecting my job performance. On the other hand, flying the 777 on P3D actually helped me at work. No rap on P3D, as I really loved the honesty and performance accuracy of the study level PMDG 777. However, I am trying to build a following, and MSFS is by far the most followed.
I am a 1958 vintage pilot with over 21,000 flight hours. I currently reside in Connecticut. I am a 1980 US Air Force Academy graduate and a seven-year Air Force instructor pilot. I have flown for a major US Airline since 1987 and I retired in September of 2023. I have been type-rated in the MD-80, B-737, B-757, B-767, B-777, A-300-600 and the MD-11. I am a recently retired (9/6/23) 777 Captain.
I have traveled the world and I have come to the conclusion that there is no place like home. It's been a great ride. I am very new to the MSFS and P3D world and I love it. Please feel welcome to offer any advice that you deem helpful.

as a real 777 captain, does the 777 engine in the cockpit always sound like an AIR RAID siren?
The GEs on our AAL birds had much more of a low growl.

Hello Father Time, I'm new to your channel and I'm loving your content. Thank you very much for the MD-11 videos, they helped a lot. Have you ever tried DCS (Digital Combat Simulator)? Just for fun, I would recommend trying the free two-week trial of the F-14 and Supercarrier module. Trying some approaches and landings on the aircraft carrier is really fun.

I needed that today I was coming in to land almost on final the controller changed my runway completely put me on another runway with ils approach it was really easy because there was a 25 knot tail wind so put me on the other end to land
It's a great training aid. although I'm just getting used to it. Today I'm going to use it to take "Snap Shots" and do "traffic Patterns". JP, the developer of FSiPanel 2020 is trying to get me up to speed.
Would be interesting to see this flying RNAV GPS Z 13L in JFK.
I’m sure that it oils do great. From what I’ve seen, it is a very capable VNAV system.

@@ThatAviatorKyber thank you. You have to find a way to get a PC. I love the XBOX platform, and that platform is what started me out in MSFS. However, you are so limited on XBOX when using MSFS. I had one of my first officers tell me the same thing!
I can not stress enough if you want to take msfs seriously get a pc

hi captain, what's 125 mean in the prog page? i know the 0.11 is the RNAV RNP requirement
Great question, and one that I did not explain well. The 125 on the PROG page 4 ensures that the Vertical Track Indicator (VTI) scale is proper on final. It's plus or minus 75 feet. I don't know the math of the 125, but that's the trick to getting the scale correct.

do you find the flight dynamics to be realistic as compared to the real one?
I haven’t done any exploration of the flight envelop with a stall series, but it handle very similarly in normal flight. I’m impressed
