The thing that I loved about this show is that it doesn't insult its audiences' intelligence, because while the main theme of the show are mutants trying to co-exist with humans like the civil rights movement, there are also divisions within both societies that reminds us it's not always black and white. Cyclops had no idea who Sabretooth is/was, and didn't know that Wolverine and him went way back and hated each other's guts. For a cartoon meant for kids, it sure had lots of thought provoking commentary and brilliant writing.

Modern Wolverine is a Terminator zombie who tanks constant hits and heals instantly.

As a kid Sid and his theme music would scare the shit outta me because I visioned him as Sabretooth. I always told folks he be a perfect Victor Creed. The size, the look, even the voice.
Always loved his portrayal. Most adaptations tend to give Sabretooth a deep, guttural voice. But Francks voice emphasizes the age and intelligence of the character, making him feel like more than just some brutish thug.

I actually liked that Sabretooth. He seemed like a movie accurate version of the character. I always get surprised when I hear that people don’t like this depiction or don’t remember it.
I actually prefer the version from Wolverine Origins, bad movie, and Sabretooth was smaller than in X-Men 1, but he was way more intelligent in Origins.
Watching this as a child in the early-mid 90's on Saturdays at 7am or 8am in the morning was amazing. I loved the dark edge it had, and to this day it still features my favorite version of Wolverine and Sabretooth. After watching The Lawnmower Man, my first pick for Logan/Wolvie in a film was Jeff Fahey, with Mel Gibson coming in a close second. Clancy Brown (Think Wizard magazine had him as their top choice too), Patrick Killpatrick, Wilhelm Von Homburg and Stefanos Miltsakakis were my choices for Sabretooth back then. Today, Oliver Richter would make for a good Sabretooth or Juggernaut (Hard to top Deadpool 2's version though).

Playing devil's advocate here as I agree, but in all fairness he didn't know Sabertooth that well and wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt as I'm pretty sure Wolverine was considered a loose canon when he first joined. So by extension it was only fair for him to offer the same benefit of the doubt to Sabertooth as well.
