yes, I was very surprised afterwards. Gamblit was never French (multiverse) as far as I remember. However, he was one of the strongest x-men, I think his power was never fully developed in the comics.
My favorite male character from X Men!!! He’s done dirty in the Fox movies as well as Rogue, hopefully they’ll be a couple in the MCU. I was so mad that they had Rogue be with Bobby
In fairness, Fox were quite consistent in doing characters dirty. Gambit has always been my favourite X-Men and I preferred he and Rogue more than the usual prom King/Queen focus of Cyc and Jean. So I feel the same with what they did with Rogue and being with Bobby which made zero sense as is.

Love that MCU is pumping out shitty bottom of the barrel characters for movies and shows (Moon Knight really?) but haven't had Gambit in anything other than awful cameo in Wolverine Origins movie. He is one of the best and most popular characters and here we are all these years without any movie with him or with him in it. We have 400 spider mans though.
