INTERESTING FACT: Abercrombie & Fitch started off as a gentlemen's sporting goods store with safari and fishing items.

I feel like a lot of recent micro and macro trends fit under the umbrella of what I came to jokingly referred to as global warming core. Short skirts and hot pants, moisture wicking fabrics/sporty core, safari core, generous cuts, cropped silhouettes, natural fabrics (looking at you quiet luxury) - all appropriate for a very hot weather.
As a former stylish lifeguard, I only wore a freshwater pearl anklet every summer.
Bubble hem says Sienna Miller to me in Eddie Sedgwick phase.
In US western wear is a lifestyle not a trend. Preppy is also a lifestyle not a trend.
I love the barrel jeans and the horseshoe jeans. Honestly I love the feeling of being fashion-forward and wearing a silhouette that (practically) no one else in my city is wearing. And I think they look great with a form-fitting top.
Love barrel jeans, some are more relaxed on the outer leg. They are so comfortable and make the waist look smaller with the right top!!

I love that you know your style😊. I couldn’t see you in barrel jeans either😂. We’re both low key loving western. My mom gave me a pair of leather snakeskin print cowboy boots and I can’t wait to try them out this fall.
Tennis core is my summer casual look since school days! Yikes the bubble hem 😅 I pass on any trend that only looks good in photos. If the model or influencer has to stand in a specific/interesting/awkward/architectural manner for the garment to look nice then pass! If they stand straight and it looks cute then it’s worth trying 😂
When you referenced Hollister with the dim lighting, club music and being assaulted by scents of the nose I fell out of my chair! Immediately transported back to those years dying laughing 😂
I still love my LV reverse monogram *yutulu* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.

Hi Cassie!! I agree with you that a clean cut polo is perfect for summer wear! Comfy and classic for sure! In the late 70's I was wearing wide leg jeans, so wide you couldn't see my feet; however, today I would not even consider it!!😂😂. Also loving the safari styles as well, very wearable. I saw one of those bubble dresses in San Diego in July and it was a size medium it was only $10 and I loved it. The only thing is I had to work on my Thigh situation. My mother said it was too short and I realized the only place I was going to be able to where it was Vegas so I opted out. I probably should’ve got it because it really did look good on me 😑

Agreed in terms of the bubble hems! For me, I think of them similarly to fashion tutus--they scream 'little girl at a princess party' which is fabulous for a five year old but feels questionable for myself as a whole adult. Maybe it's because I'm fighting verticality at a loss so sometimes I'm confused for a middle schooler? 😅 Being perceived as underage just doesn't feel glamorous😆 On another note, sign me up for the Safari experience! Maybe with pockets that can hold my phone?! (fingers crossed!)

I think the cool thing about barrel jeans is there are so many options. I ADORE those Alaias but I agree that they are not for the faint of heart 😅. Frame, The Gap and Agolde make more subtle (maybe even “flattering”) versions.

At 5’1” I will always say no to Bermuda shorts and any kind of wide leg jean, especially when it reaches barrel! In my next life, I plan on being tall😂😂😂😂😂 I guess if you’re young, the whole bubble skirt thing could be cute but how do you sit down?

The Row flip flop in rubber for $650? and is sold out....how i wish to know the person who bought this and i would like to interview him or her. Frankly even if i am rolling with monies, i will not buy that too. Those jelly shoes are only appropriate for getting into the sea when the shore has only pebbles and your feet hurt! You can get them for 5€ (Greek price in cheap store for beach apparel) not 800+$! I just find the trend stupid and the price simply ridiculous!
