      Leonard Lye mahalo! I am glad it was clear! Which key do you like best?

    • @squashdevicer
      @squashdevicer 4 роки тому +1

      JJ Milare I cant do the E key because my fingers are not flexible enough and a bit short! Maybe a lot more practice is needed.

    • @JJMilare
      @JJMilare  4 роки тому

      @@squashdevicer Yes E is not so much of a common chord ukulele players use so it's ok! Yes practice practice. I used to play with guitar players and they play in E a lot, so I had to learn how to play in E :).

    I can’t see how you pick which version of the diminished chord to play. Mostly they don’t have the root note in

    • @JJMilare
      @JJMilare  25 днів тому

      @@AlanPalmer-n3h mostly I'm using the diminished chord that we commonly used when I was playing with the other musicians on Maui. Not sure if the outer islands use a different progression. So it was already picked for me 🙂🤙

    What brand is the instrument, is it a “concert”?

    • @JJMilare
      @JJMilare  3 роки тому

      The brand is by Koolau guitar company and it’s their Pono line. It’s a beautiful ukulele. Their customer work is awesome too. If you have watched @hawaiimusicsupply this brand is theirs. And mine is a tenor size :). What brand do you have?

      You can barre just the second fret. Or u can use all of your fingers on the second fret, one for each string. Pointer finger for the top string, middle finger next string down, ring finger next string down, and pinky next string down. All are in the second fret. Does this help?
