Is the Ringing In My Ears Tinnitus or TMJ?

- Tinnitus , another name for ear ringing, is a very annoying and sometimes painful symptom that so often goes misdiagnosed. Many people who suffer with tinnitus go doctor to specialist to chiropractor to physiotherapist to other alternative methods and nothing works. But many times, tinnitus is a symptom of Temporo-Mandibular Joint Disorder, also referred to as #TMD.
When the lower jaw is not aligned due to malocclusion, it can often distallize and put pressure on the tissue and bone behind it, and if this continues over time, it can damage the inner ear, causing symptoms like ear ringing, ear pain, and the feeling of fullness.
Seeing a dentist who treats TMD can not only help those who suffer with it but also eliminate the annoying ear symptoms that often go along with chronic #TMJ dysfunction.

find medicinal plant, we called it in Southern Philippines as "Hilbas".. we put herbal leaves in affected ear in outer after we grind or smash the herbal leave with fingers enough to produce strong smell from leaves.. the smell from herb will slowly cure noise from your ear. just keep put the herbal in your ear until the noise will gone.
Hello, any updates?
@@DayiHunts what do you mean?

How did you get on. Are you better now? 😊
I’m just glad I hopefully will be able to hear if my jaw heals hopefully
Are u ok now??
i’m just now dealing with my issue from 2018 because it was severely misdiagnosed. Got botox in my temporal muscle behind my ear, and I’m halfway there. I’ll get it in my jaw muscle in a week or so. Box has worked really well in calming down the muscles.
Glad to hear you've had some relief
This is exactly what i have, Jaw problem followed by tinnitus years after
have you been under treatment?
@@wiikiimiishiiNo, not yet. I will go to doctor for that soon

@@hgsert2733 I think i have same problem, did you go to doctor?
Hello, I've been suffering from symptoms such as jaw crackings sounds with a feeling of full ear, plus high volume tinnitus in my left ear since mid-January, I have been diagnosed with TMJD last week, the doctor has said that the treatment to follow is a mouthguard that will reduce TMJ overload using it on a daily basis, is this the right treatment to solve the symptoms?
Sounds like a good start as long as the mouthguard is custom-adjusted to your particular bite and slides in all directions.
Will that make the tinnitus go away?
@@purplecorpse4230 if the tinnitus is caused by the position of the condyle and the position is corrected, but some tinnitus is irreversible. Depends on many factors which is why someone trained in TMD needs to assess it.
Pour quelqu'un qui porte un appareil dentaire comment il doit faire
What sort of doctor do you go for this tmd problem that causes ringing?
Dentist who has training on TMD
Do you know how they diagnose and treat it?
@@D-NastyNoise yes but it's a complicated answer. It takes years to learn to diagnose and treat this type of thing and it would be impossible for me to answer in a reply here. Sorry but you will need to see someone who is knowledgeable in this area and get them to diagnose your particular situation.
I have TMJ problem (my jaw muscles are tight causing my jaw to open one side) for a year now, just 1 week ago I got sick with mild cold and now got tinnitus, so I don’t know which one caused it, the cold or TMJ, hopefully TMJ coz it can be treated
definitely have a TMD dentist check this out. Tinnitus is very common with TMJ issues
