Awesome video! Thank you for the information. I just bought a F56 Mini Cooper S last year with dynamic dampeners and have been wanting to lower it this year. The DDC in the car is a great feature that I enjoy so I’m glad there’s an option to keep them if I lower it.
Thank you so much for this video… I just got my mini with this feature and I can’t figure out how to set it up. Do you mind explaining it? Or did I pay for something that is not in the car? Thanks!
I lived for a short time in KC MO, looks like where you film is where I was living in the Rivermarket District. I really liked living there. Love your Mini.
Thanks for your review. No any error code or massages after time of using lowering springs with stock adaptive suspension? No bump hits on the road waves?
Hey, love the channel and the videos. I'm looking at a clubman JCW in the UK. How would I know if it has the adaptive/dynamic suspension or not? Is there an obvious switch to look out for? Most of the ones I'm looking at just have the green/sport mode switch. Is it activated through that or is there another setting? Not sure if they all have it or not!? Thanks in advance.
If it doesn’t have the electric plug going into the top of the front struts, check the window sticker. Can also have the dealership run the vehicle identification number to verify equipment.
If it has a plug going into the top of the struts, it’s controlled by what driving mode you’re in. If it doesn’t have the plug but does have adaptive suspension, it’s mechanical inertial valve based and the adjustments happen inside the struts based on road conditions.
I'm planning to place an order for 2024 JCW. My sales advisor told me that the DDC only engaged in sport but Mid and Green mode. Was he correct ? Thanks
@@TheMINIac Do you mean that the frequency selective damping work all the time no matter which mode is selected ? I'm not going to lower my car but just want a comfortable drive when the road conditions are bad. Do you think DDC helps?
@@TheMINIac thanks for replying very much appreciated but so how do you know if you have even got it on your car as I've literally just picked up my 2023 JCW from the UK & your saying that you can't go into the settings & change anything? 🤔🥺
how much difference do you think that there is between using dynamic dampeners, or smaller rims? in the past I downsized from 17" to 16" rims, with a very noticeable improvement in ride comfort.
i am awaiting delivery of a low mile 2023 JCW that has DDC as well as the option ZJS Sport suspension. I am expecting the ride to be something similar to what you described in this video - hopefully not too harsh.
Awesome video. Just ordered my Eibach lowering springs and a new K&N air filter, can’t wait to see how that rides. Unrelated but could you drop us a link to that phone mount you have? I have been looking for this for way too long
Hi miniac, I've got a Cooper sport on order for June. Is the dynamic dampers included on my new model. Just wondering what's fitted on my new car regarding suspension. Really appreciate your help. Thank you take care. Your car is really nice 👍.
@@TheMINIac Thanks a lot for your help . Just got in from work. There's such a lot of things included on Minis a with the waiting times. Things are forgotten take care 😃. I really enjoyed your video.
Unfortunately my spinal injuries from the incident with a IED whilst serving in Iraq are now getting the better of me as time goes on, so I have had to sell my Mini 2018 Hatch JCW and buy a 2016 Mini Paceman Cooper S. Getting in and out of the Mini is far easier and the ride is less jarring on my spine, but it is just as fun to drive as the hatch especially the way I drive it. Plus I can fit my hand pedal racing three wheeler bike in the back to go to the athletics track to train for the disabled military veterans Invictus games ………🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I am afraid on my Roadster that to lower will result in dragging the bottom on inclines. Clubman would most benefit, have front wheel drive version and wish I could test one to compare before I went to the expense of lowering springs. I actually really like the dynamic dampers and wouldn't want to loose.

None because these dynamic dampers were mechanical.
Fantastic! It's JP Dunphy Btw... this is my work channel that i make for the dealership. Great review! thanks for all your time and effort.
@@TheMINIac you've got a healthy fanbase here at the dealership!
great video - what is the phone holder you use?

What is adaptive suspension on the MINI 3-Door Cooper S that can be configured for India. Its ok the India spec sheet.

Amazing video! If I change the shocks and put bilstein b8 without dynamic damper, will an error appear on the dash or there is no issue? Thanks!
@@TheMINIac Yesterday I disconnected the sensors from front dampers and no error appeared to me on the dash. Cooper S 2.0 2015
Did you have Mini install the lowering springs, also did it affect your warranty?
So how do you get into the settings for Dynamic dampers? 🤔

How much did you lower the MINI -Front & Back ?

Fun fact. The DDC in the 2023 is mechanical. So if you decide you want Coilovers later, nothing needs to be unplugged.

I heard that the dynamic damper control is making the ride harder, so maybe not as good when the road is bumpy?

While I don’t have DDC, I’d love to drop my F60 on NM Eng springs.
