I have to wonder how that new cloth interior (dash & top of the door panels) is going to hold up with exposure to the sun, dirt and the great outdoors. I've got a Miata and the interior quickly collects dirt like a magnet. I hate to see what that light colored fabric will look like down the road.
In the regular ones it’s a switch on the dash, similar to what Porsche is doing now. If you have a JCW variant, or trimmed one, you get paddle shifters you can use to shift the vehicle.
@@TheMINIac Just read MotoringFile and they reported on this over a year ago, MINI was unable to make the change given the fact that they were forced to carry over the rear tailgate design due to costs. They simply didn't think they'd sell enough F67s to recoup the cost of reengineering the rear tailgate from the F57.
Beautiful Omoda, hyundai or BYD but no a mini anymore, the interior looks empty and cheap, also is missing the Sport, it looks just like regular one because of the missing exhausts, but at least the outside looks fine especialy the tail lights are an improvement (the triangular ones are awful)
@@nicolasrojano466 You Hit the Point, Looks for me Like an electric Version. No signs of an „S“ Model, how insane no exhaust for the top Petrol Model 🙄
@@TheMINIac it’s not mini either. Triangles were never in the mini design. Curves are key. Simplicity was key. The cutouts for the boot is not simple. I’m not opposed to new things. Just stick to the same design language. It’s like someone designed the front and someone else did the back end
@mars22872 the shape of the car is still unmistakable as a MINI. They said they were changing the taillights. That was expected. The Countryman gets a pass since it never had anything overtly round. The triangular taillights match the pattern of the Union Jack that we had on the F56 so it makes sense in a way to do that. I’m not necessarily a fan of the new taillights, but I don’t hate them either.
@@TheMINIac I love the mini brand and desperately want to see them thrive. Great design is always polarizing. I guess time and sales will determine if this is a hit or miss. I just personally think this will be similar to the fried egg headlights of the 911. Moving iconic design into the future is incredibly challenging and I totally acknowledge that
i own 2024 f57. i must say even though the interior design feels outdated, it feels more premium than this one despite all the plastic. also overall the exterior design is more aggresive on f57 compared to this. This looks tamed. will wait for 2026.
I miss the double exhaust pipe on the S models of the Countryman and Cooper, sad to see MINI losing its fun and funky character and become more bland and basic, definitely keeping my 23 F60 Countryman until they’ve made some changes.
I really love the older Models, had in the past a 2006 R52 Convertible „S“ and a 2015 F55 Cooper S Both Nice Cars with Mini Spirit. New Models are without Soul, less Car more Price Like Many other Brands These days …
Dont know what you want , Show my comments ..,. I had 2 older „S“ Models they had some mini Spirit , This new model can be anything , Like Chinese Copy, but no Mini S 🤣🤣
THEY FIXED THE TAIL LIGHTS
Nope. It was cost prohibitive to put the new ones on the convertible.
@@TheMINIacI’m glad for it. This is a beautiful convertible.
Wait for the 2027 facelift , the empire will strike back with the " Old good Union Jack taillights "

They’ve had this new design in development for at least 5 years. They’ve been testing those materials just as long I believe.
I wondered the same. Ugly and no doubt dusty. The whole design is atrocious.
@@whereisnatenow disagree with your assessment. Go drive one.
@@TheMINIac how do you shift gears?

Ok, now add those tailights to the 3 door hardtop y redo that interior.
Actually MINI wanted to add the new taillights to the convertible but it was cost prohibitive.

@Techjunkiero yep. That’s what Gabe told me. Hence why I said they wanted to but it was cost prohibitive.
@@TheMINIaccome on.
Looks good…👍
You can see where they ran out of money to redesign the car. lol

@@TheMINIac on the f67 from the doors back it literally has the same look as the f57 with fancier taillights.
@2cornersahead the article from Motoringfile will explain it.
@@TheMINIac so yes they would run out of budget if they redesigned the rear too
I wonder what is the code for this “new” convertible. F5X or F6x?
F67

It’s a MINI. I have no clue what other brand you think it is. The design language is not BYD or Hyundai.
