I took a trip behind 611.I will never forget her whistle.So deep sounding.She pull that train with no problem. It was a train that would had 2 amtrak locomotives pulling it.And I have a MTH railking 611. Where I live I saw a lot of coal trains.Heck when fall and winter came it was a non stop coal trains.Oh yea my home monroe nc. The Seaboard Air line had a rail yard its still in use today now CSX .

Well I have four two brand new never ran an other two have the qsi in them . They sound great ! But only problem I had was yes there light .!! Very,, so added liquid lead 😁 But again very nice detail work on layout .!
As cool as it is to watch THREE Y's on the coal drag and time freight, I still say the S is The Bomb. Impressive structures, too. I like Schmidtchen's.

How did you do the Y6a #2161? Modified a Y6b or what model is that? Very nice show and layout btw, congrats, I really love your footage, keep it coming!
I added a few things new number two air pumps new water feed pump on the left side removed water heater in front of the stack. A real Y6a had a smaller boiler, every time I see a 6a in pictures or in a old movie I always see those two air pumps. thanks
