With that said it’s so refreshing each time I watch one of your post! The maturity that you and Mr West Indi Ray share is unique and beautiful! Love the video! My wife and I are from Louisiana and we moved to Chicago in 2020 3 months after getting married! We both absolutely LOVEDDDDDD Chicago! Great summers, great food, great skyline, such a beautiful city with so much life being lived. But that 6 month winter is very depressing. For that reason we moved to Georgia last September, but Chicago will always always always have a special place in my heart

I loved your content & spirit when I found it some years back but I never knew we had so much in common.
I feel slightly boxed in where I am I live in the downtown Chicago area but I’ve known since the beginning I didn’t want to stay in Chicago for much longer.
I actually miss Florida. the way my skin glowed, the memories.
But I think the fact that my mom passed before I had to leave Florida and come to Chicago- gives me an unsure feel about it.
I feel what you say about your life being planned out for you I’ve had some great but crazy experiences; like a man coming into my life that my mother told me about years ago.
I love to see the peace you have a hold of and I pray it continues all throughout your days

I knew exactly what you were saying when you said it doesn't align with you energetically. I have lived in Chicago for 5 years and it has never felt like home to me. Very transitional. I am looking forward to graduating 2023 so I can move somewhere where I feel like I am HOME. It is very hustle and bustle here and I like peace, quiet, and nature. Glad you are back in your element!
Mannnnnnn Ray I totally feel you on the seasonal depression when I was in Boston for work I was just so ugh. I loved Boston but idk I was just so sad and on schedule but now back in Florida I feel so free and happy. Something about that Florida sun
The city/place that I’m at doesn’t align with me energetically. I’ve been praying for an out so extremely hard so I’m grateful for this video that gives me an ounce of hope. I’m so ready to move to blossom and be free but I’m trusting divine timing.
Congrats on aligning back to what feels true to you. My current location is definitely not for me as I feel it’s stunting my growth and keeping me stagnant. I desire to live elsewhere but don’t know how to “look good on paper” (3X rent) all while keeping my sanity / peace of mind to do so. I really find working traditionally crippling and non traditional work doesn’t always yield to be consistent. I do feel at a crossroads about this and hope I can really change my reality in the new year. 💕✨

🦄 I was born and raised in the Midwest so I completely understand what you mean about Chicago being cold & dreary for a large chunk of the year. This year I’ve visited both Nevada and Florida, but something about Florida, the water, the weather, the people says “home” to me. I realized that I need sunlight, warmth, and nature in order to thrive. So I’m planning on moving to a warmer area eventually.
Loved everything about this update! It’s so amazing to have a partner who really nurtures your needs and moves in sync with you. I will say you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned living in Chicago brought you 2 closer as a married couple. We moved away and got married and it was just us and our kids. We really got to figure out our dynamic as a married couple so when he wanted to come back to FL I was down for the ride. Never lived here but I love it and being among nature and these palm trees has for sure shifted things for me. I am so happy for you guys and so excited to see the shift in content, you already look soooo at peace!!! 🦄

I just got back from Miami and I really would love to move there the weather the water is perfect. Happy to hear that you found your alignment and connections to joy!

🦄First let me just say, I'm so glad that you have a partner who seriously understands and takes into consideration your happiness! Enough to move across the country! My partner and I recently moved from PA to Houston TX, mainly because Philly was not served us anymore especially me. I thrive in warm climates, and being that it's cold more months than warm up there, I just wasn't the happiest. So I totally understand! Good for you too!

🦄🦄🦄I agree about how your relationship grows with less distractions. My now Fiancéand I lived in Tallahassee for 2 yrs and it helped us grow closer but my heart was split not being near my family in NC. Once he finished his Masters we moved back to NC and I’m so thankful 🥹🥰 now all who I love the most is near by. I’ll miss FL weather tho lol but a support system is more important ✨🦄🦄🦄

i’m currently living in south florida as well been living here basically my whole life except for when i moved to attend FAMU but there’s something calling me to Atlanta. honestly i feel it’ll be better for me career wise.

First off, I love this move for you and your hubby! I completely understand what you mean when it comes to seasonal depression. I spent 3 years stationed in the UK and honestly, that’s when my depression and anxiety started. I love nature, but I don’t do cold weather and England is pretty cold. I needed the sun on my skin! Also, these thought provoking questions 👏🏾🙌🏾 love them and thank you! Honestly, where I am now, I don think this is where my soul wants to be, but it needs to be here for now, to grow and evolve. I’m going to journal about it later so thank you for helping me explore. 🥰😘

Ive been visiting my family in NC for two weeks and it feels so great to have their support and care bc I get lonely in Chicago. Chicago doesn’t currently align with me energetically esp bc of the cold, lack of sunlight and community. I am looking for somewhere else to live just don’t know where. Charleston, SC is one of my favorite places bc it’s near water and that’s an important thing for me. I have loved Gullah

I feel you so much about mental health being attached to your physical experience or where you’re living. Definitely struggling with this myself currently. It would be so much easier to change my situation if I didn’t have kids. On that note I’m glad your partner is so excepting and willing to do whatever needs to be done to secure your wellbeing. I live in the Westchester county of NY and I’m grateful to have a balcony that oversees the Hudson River. I honestly really love it because it doesn’t feel like I’m in the city at all. However this was the first winter I ever felt seasonal depression. I’ve visited Florida and could actually see myself there so energetically speaking, I know I could flow more in warmer climates because I’m originally from Cameroon. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and I pray you and your husband enter this season with much love and peace ❤

My favorite place I lived so far has been in Jalisco , Mexico. My husband and I moved to Washington 2 years ago when we first married and after we had our first child last year I was extremely susceptible to seasonal depression and winter lasts all year in the PNW so since he’s obligated to live there another year for his job , we r now temporarily living apart with me in Las Vegas closer to family . I agree that men like this (understanding, supportive etc) are rare and I’m so appreciative of this.

I’m a student at FAMU but growing up I lived between SoCal & NYC. Coming to Tally was a huge culture shock and since starting school it has been very difficult because I also have a strong affinity to water and love visiting the ocean but that’s hard here! I will be graduating in the Spring and have no idea where I want to be, but my spiritual growth has felt stunted because it’s sometimes hard to feel grounded here. I’m grateful for opportunities I have here and love my HBCU.. however it can be difficult to fully surrender.

I've been thinking about relocating from New York to Florida especially since I look forward to entering back into Raw Veganism after a half and a half of doing it. The only thing that has stopped me is something most don't go into detail about. The hurricanes, thunderstorms, floods, need to evacuate homes at times, the months of heavy non-stop rain and leaving the most convenient form of transportation I've seen around where I can travel anywhere with or without a vehicle. Though the weather outside of this is beautiful questions come to mind to the point by which is it worth it. I'd love for you to cover this topic going forward. I completely get it, I’m a native NY’er and Florida feels like home for me and I don’t even know anyone there. I’m pretty sure it has to do with the amount of nature and sunlight. Also, I started watching you years ago because of your content surrounding all of the holistic stuff, I really enjoyed you speaking about herbs and such. I feel like living in the South grounded me, and my husband and I recently decided that we wanted to move back. I grew up here and love the fact that I’ve been able to reconnect with my friends and family over the past few months, but I’m getting ready to go back to Jacksonville. I was definitely more in my element there and feel like I had more opportunities to spread my wings and expand.

Congrats on this reconnection to your space/location. I’m in NY, where I have lived almost my whole life. Definitely don’t feel aligned with it at all and itching to relocate. My partner who recently migrated from Jamaica and I from Jamaican family love South Florida but not sure it is right for us in this moment. My absolute other favorite place that I think aligns with me is Arizona. Figuring it all out has not been easy and we will most likely end up in a place that I have lived before that may not provide the same warmth we require but a bit more of the freedom and elevation we are currently seeking.
Definitely looking for a new place to go. In the same state; however, I’m over the apartment life I’ve been living. I want more space, peace, and quiet-- so a house in may is my boyfriend and I’s next step!
