This is my edc. I have it set up exactly like yours but with a hs 507c and an apex connector. I’ve put 2,300 rounds on it since September and I LOVE this gun. I’ve always carried Glock bc I sweat real bad and rust out metal magazines quickly, and this gun comes with a back strap that gives it the glock hump angle so it was an easy transition. For sure! If you are interested in the SS stuff, I recommend the foundation series as it’s significantly cheaper yet the same functionality and features which make shadow systems an upgrade. Otherwise the PDP is one of the nicest striker fired guns out of the box.

By the time you upgrade almost anything at all on a glock, you might as well have just bought a shadow. Sights or trigger? Just buy a shadow? Stipple job? Just buy a shadow. Optic cut? Buy a shadow they have the best multi optic cut on the market. Shadow systems will not let you down. I will say my break in period was more like 300 rounds and 300 dry fire reps before I felt the gun was fully broke in. They lock up so well that they need to be broken in first for sure!
Owned a MR920 Elite. It would only shoot Magpul magazines. Everytime I put a OEM Glock magazine in, the magazine would drop out of the gun after the first couple rounds. Kept doing it repeatedly. So I changed out the magazine release to a OEM Glock release and it held the Glock magazines without issue. It now will hold Glock and Magpul magazines without problems. This is actually a known issue with these pistols, and for me experiencing this was a turnoff, when I'm at the range with my left hand pushing up under the magazine so it didn't fall out. What if I needed to defend my life and had a Glock magazine in and it fell out after the first round? Contact shadow about the issue and they will remedy the problem and I don’t disagree, if you are having an issue like that it would make me weary as well.
Which actually turns into less muzzle flip due to the reduced slide mass and material which has to move. To be fair, it is “snappier” but still a great shooting gun. If you don’t believe this sentiment, go buy both of the shadow systems and the PDP and shoot them side by side.

Every polymer pistol should have the thumbs cuts like the MR series pistols. It makes recoil non-existant in my opinion, and it's a great index point for my thumbs.
200 rounds break in makes it risky to carry before that break in period. If you were to count on this pistol as your nightstand weapon then you best make sure that you hold to that requirement. I would rather pay more and they break it in before selling it.
If you are shooting less than 200 with any pistol, even a custom built Nighthawk and trusting your life to it, you are just wrong. You should put a considerable amount more than that through it. Nearly every single striker fired pistol references a break in period in their owner’s manual, but shadow makes it more public. Do you realize no company is putting enough rounds through a pistol for a complete break in and GUARANTEEING 100 percent reliability out of the box? Shoot all of your pistols a lot before you trust them, I don’t care who manufactures it, custom or factory. I can even be objective and say the only pistol you may be able to get away with less is a revolver and even those I have seen fail.
Great handgun, except it is overpriced. If people knew the actual manufacturing cost, they would understand how bad they are being gouged by the high profit margin sale price. A polymer frame handgun is not as expensive as an all metal one, to begin with.
@@HuntFishShootChannel they are overpriced because there is a segment of the demand that will pay "whatever" to get a well put together ideal Glock. Some people get stuck in time, and refuse changes and innovation. The Walther PDP, CZ P10, Sig Sauer P320, Beretta APX, Canik METE SFT, H&K VP9, to mention a few, are not "Glock clones." Those are outstanding modern handgun platforms of their own. Glock has plenty of competition nowadays.
True, all the guns you listed are good ones for sure. But remember guns are only overpriced to select buyers. For instance the VP9 or FN509 pistols are great guns, but in my humble opinion they are over priced when compared to the rest of the striker fired market. The regular price of the Shadow Systems is high, but at their patriot and protector discount, they might be the best value on the market. But unfortunately that’s a select group of people who qualify for that. Some of these manufacturers should just sell at what the LE/Mil price is because it’s still higher than cost.
@@HuntFishShootChannelI agree. In fact, the price of Glock pistols to civilians should actually be the special price given to LEOs under the "Blue Label" program. That would be an affordable reasonable price of the Glock for civilians. As it is, Gaston Glock is gouging the consumers.

Great handgun, except it is overpriced. If people knew the actual manufacturing cost, they would understand how bad they are being gouged by the high profit margin sale price. A polymer frame handgun is not as expensive as an all metal one, to begin with.
Don’t necessarily disagree, however they aren’t out of line with the rest of the market. Thank you for watching!
I will add too, the “custom” Glock prices for company’s like Zev or Salient are flat outrageous.
@@HuntFishShootChannelI agree. In fact, the price of Glock pistols to civilians should actually be the special price given to LEOs under the "Blue Label" program. That would be an affordable reasonable price of the Glock for civilians. As it is, Gaston Glock is gouging the consumers.
Had a DR920, trigger was terrible and gun was unreliable even after 700 plus rounds.
Sorry to hear that. Crazy you put 700 rounds through a gun you didn’t like. Better person than me.
Lol this a MR 920 the duty role doesn't have the slide windows
Nope this is the DR920. The combat doesn’t have the window cut…. But the elite model does
