    I like adding beads to my lanyards because it makes me look like a cool Native American Indian scout when in reality I'm just a pasty white boy from Wisconsin.

      Don’t be so hard on yourself, pasty white dudes took out the best Indian scouts

      That worked for Buffy Sainte-Marie for decades. And also Grey Owl……who was really an Englishman by the name of Archie Belaney. (You may know all this.). But IMHO……no harm done.

      Yeah. Hah, the bead is acquired from a "tactical" company. We males are so bored, playing with our toys.

      @ I got a Plain 31 with S45VN blade. Pre owned, previous person liked loc tite a little too much lol. Made it way harder to disassemble and replace the lanyard. Followed this video and did kind of a modified noose knot with gutted para cord. Love the Micarta inlaid 21s, they look so cool!

  • @greggoode3450

    It's got a beautiful look. But it seems as if you were to pull hard on the lanyard, the short end would slip back through and disassemble the knot?

    • @TheWeaversofEternity
      @TheWeaversofEternity  11 місяців тому

      That could happen, but really only if you pull up on the short end. In my experience of using this lanyard knot, it's never come close to coming undone if you're just pulling "downwards" or away from the attachment point on the lanyard. If you want to make it even more secure you can dip the lanyard in hot tap water and let it dry to really tighten and firm up as well.

    Its not a secure knot. i suggest putting the bead at the bottom and end with a diamond knot.

    Is it possible to make paracord pocket organizer like the leather one u have?

  • @tommylundy2495
    @tommylundy2495 3 роки тому

    Question: I got to the end and definitely had more loop than yours but I felt like I needed to throw a granny knot on the end, to stop it from unravelling. It just felt really loose and not sturdy. Did I make a wrong step somewhere? Thanks

    • @vampaq
      @vampaq 2 роки тому

      I'm sure you figured it out by now To make it Tight You need to twist the coil & pull the side of the loop near strand that goes into coil. You can also adjust the size of the Loop by Pulling The other side of the loop it's kinda Confusing at First.

      You are mistaken. This is what you posted as the knot a few years back.
      ua-cam.com/video/a5LNCk5IsuM/v-deo.html
      A noose knot is visually appealing, clean coils, etc, *but* tug on the coil wraps and *it's a function fail* when the single strand slips into the coil.
      I would finish it off with a celtic, globe, crown, or diamond knot tight to the coil, then you can have the tails, but the lanyard would be capped and will not come undone.
      Just my $0.02
